Job summary

Ford is seeking an SAP Analyst to join our Supply Chain team in Chennai. You will support SAP MM processes, focus on procurement, inventory management, and material master data, and help improve operational efficiency.

You will work with business users, contribute to UAT and testing, prepare documentation, and train end users on SAP MM. A 3–5 year background in SAP modules is preferred and strong analytical skills are a must.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business).
• 3–5 years of experience in SAP MM modules.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day procurement and material management activities using SAP MM.
• Create, maintain, and validate material master, vendor master, purchasing information records, and source lists.
• Support the PR to PO process.
• Monitor purchase orders, goods receipts, invoice verification, and stock movements.
• Resolve SAP MM-related issues with business users and IT support.
• Support inventory management activities including stock transfers and cycle counting.
• Maintain data accuracy and ensure compliance with policies.
• Generate and analyze SAP reports for procurement and inventory.
• Assist with SAP testing, UAT, and system enhancements.
• Prepare and maintain process documents and user guides.
• Provide end-user training for SAP MM processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement and inventory processes via SAP best practices.
• Participate in SAP implementations and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role will support daily business operations by ensuring efficient procurement processes, maintaining accurate master data, resolving SAP-related issues, and collaborating with business users to improve operational efficiency.
The role focuses on SAP functional support, business process execution, and continuous process improvement rather than software development.

• Support day-to-day procurement and material management activities using SAP MM.
• Create, maintain, and validate material master, vendor master, purchasing information records, and source lists.
• Support the purchase requisition (PR) to purchase order (PO) process.
• Monitor purchase orders, goods receipts (GR), invoice verification (IV), and stock movements.
• Resolve SAP MM-related issues by working closely with business users and IT support teams.
• Support inventory management activities, including stock transfers, inventory adjustments, cycle counting, and physical inventory processes.
• Maintain data accuracy and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Generate, analyze, and distribute SAP reports related to procurement, inventory, and material management.
• Assist with SAP testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system enhancements, and change requests.
• Prepare and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and user guides.
• Provide functional support and end-user training for SAP MM processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement and inventory processes through SAP best practices.
• Participate in SAP implementation, enhancement, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical, Automobile, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Good understanding of Materials Management processes, including:
