Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited seeks an experienced SAP S/4 ABAP Technical Consultant in Hyderabad. The role requires deep ABAP expertise (Core ABAP, OO-ABAP, CDS, AMDPs, ODATA) with 5-7 years of hands-on experience including at least one full implementation.

You will work on ABAP RESTful programming models, UI5/FIORI, and Cloud Foundry, handling RICEF components and RFCs. You will design and develop technical objects, perform unit testing, code reviews, and collaborate with functional teams

Qualifications

• Must have Core ABAP, OO-ABAP, CDS, AMDPs, Newer ABAP syntaxes (7.5), ODATA knowledge.
• 5-7 years of ABAP experience with minimum 1 implementation.
• Hands-on experience in ODATA services with CRUD operations, CDS, AMDP.
• Proficient in RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms/Reports) and RFCs.
• Knowledge of ABAP RESTful programming model, UI5 development, Cloud Foundry.

Responsibilities

• Able to design and develop technical objects; revise designs to meet ABAP project requirements.
• Perform necessary fixes and enhancements; collaborate with functional owners, architects, and other team members.
• Excellent communication to interact with clients and understand technical requirements.
• Assist functional teams on technical approach before GAP presentations; perform feasibility analysis for changes before FS approval.
• Develop objects or changes as per FS; perform unit testing and peer code reviews.
• Support testing defects in FUT, SIT, UAT, and post go-live; optimize code performance.

Good to Have:

• Need strong knowledge of ABAP with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience with a minimum of 1 Implementation experience
• Must have a working experience in ODATA services with all CRUD operation implementation, CDS, AMDP
• Must have development experience in RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms and Reports), RFCs and other SAP development tools
• Must have knowledge in ABAP RESTful programming model, UI5 development, Cloud Foundry
• Should be able to manage the design, develop technical objects, and revise technical designs to meet ABAP project requirements.
• Should be able to perform necessary fixes and enhancements and collaborate with functional owners, architects, and other personnel for development
