Key Responsibilities

Core ABAP Skills: OO-ABAP, modular programming; classical development (Reports, ALV, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms); enhancement techniques (BADIs, User Exits, Implicit/Explicit Enhancements); debugging and performance tuning (ST22, ST05, SAT, SE30); S/4HANA and HANA optimization; CDS views with annotations; AMDP; HANA-optimized SQL and performance best practices; exposure to ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) integration; IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, ALE; OData services (v2/v4); interface troubleshooting (PI/PO/CPI awareness).
Front-End (Full-Stack Edge): SAPUI5/Fiori development (freestyle and Fiori elements); XML views, controllers, data binding, fragments; Fiori Launchpad integration basics.
Testing & Quality: ABAP Unit Testing; static code checks (ATC/SCI); code coverage and secure coding practices.
DevOps Tools: Transport management (CTS+/gCTS); CI/CD pipeline awareness for ABAP; version control (Git for gCTS); Solution Manager/ChaRM or Jira integration.
Compliance Standards: SAP Clean Core principles; secure coding (authorization checks, GDPR compliance); SOX and audit readiness.
