Job summary

Infosys Ltd. in Chennai, India, seeks an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join the Enterprise Package Application Services team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality ABAP design, coding, and reviews across ECC and S/4HANA projects.

You will lead a small team, develop technical designs, ensure SAP standards, and contribute to agile delivery and client satisfaction. Knowledge of FIORI, ODATA, APIs, and AMDP is valued; SAP certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have 5–7 years of SAP ABAP experience.
• Ability to lead a team of 5 members.
• Experience writing detailed technical designs.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience on ECC and S/4HANA projects globally.
• At least 2 implementations or rollouts.
• SAP Certifications.

Responsibilities

• As part of the Infosys delivery team, your primary role would be to interface with the client for quality assurance, issue resolution and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• You will understand requirements, create and review designs, validate the architecture and ensure high levels of service offerings to clients in the technology domain.
• You will participate in project estimation, provide inputs for solution delivery, conduct technical risk planning, perform code reviews and unit test plan reviews.
• You will lead and guide your teams towards developing optimized high quality code deliverables, continual knowledge management and adherence to the organizational guidelines and processes.

Technical and Professional Requirements

• Must have minimum 5 to 7 years of experience
• Ability to lead a team of 5 members
• Ability to write detailed technical designs
• Ability to speak to functional consultant and understand the business requirements and convert them into technical solutions
• Ability to work on both ECC and S/4HANA projects for customers across the globe
• At least 2 implementation or rollout experience
• SAP Certifications
• Proficient in all RICEF objects in core ABAPE.g.: Data Dictionary, All kinds of Reports and Programs, Enhancements, Forms (SAP Scripts, Smart forms, Adobe forms), Interfaces (BAPIs, IDOCs, APIs)
• Proficient in ABAP on HANA and S/4HANA Implementation or SoH (Suit on Hana) experience
• Experience in developing automation in SAP using ABAP
• Ability to learn the niche skills and upskill in short time
