Team Responsibilities
The SAP ABAP team is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining SAP technical solutions that support enterprise business processes. The team works closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and integration teams to deliver scalable, high-quality SAP developments across various SAP modules.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and maintain SAP ABAP solutions for business requirements.
- Build custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
- Support SAP implementation, enhancement, rollout, and production support activities.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure development follows SAP best practices, coding standards, and performance optimization.
- Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, testing, and deployment.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely defect resolution.
- Support system upgrades, migrations, and S/4HANA transformation initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Development

- Develop SmartForms, SAP Scripts, Adobe Forms.
- Build and maintain RFCs, BAPIs, IDocs, ALE interfaces, Proxy/Web Services.
- Develop File-based interfaces using Application Server and Middleware.
- Develop CDS Views and AMDPs where applicable.
- Build OData Services using SAP Gateway.
Technical Design
- Prepare Technical Design Documents (TDDs).
- Estimate development effort.
- Review functional specifications and provide technical solutions.
- Ensure reusable and scalable development.
Integration & Collaboration
- Work closely with SAP Functional Consultants (FI, MM, SD, PP, WM, etc.).
- Collaborate with Basis, Security, Integration, and Infrastructure teams.
- Support SIT, UAT, and Production deployment activities.
Quality & Performance
- Perform code optimization and performance tuning.
- Conduct peer code reviews.
- Ensure compliance with SAP development standards.
- Maintain transport management and version control.
Production Support
- Analyze production issues.
- Perform root cause analysis.
- Implement fixes and enhancements.
- Support release management activities.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
- SAP ABAP Certification (preferred).
- SAP S/4HANA ABAP certification (preferred).
