Job summary

A leading IT services firm is seeking an SAP ABAP Developer to design and develop ABAP programs and interfaces, ensuring optimal business process integration. The successful candidate will have expertise in SAP ABAP, including ABAP Objects and Smart Forms, and will work on-site in India. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and develop ABAP programs per business needs.
• Create and maintain Smart Forms and ALV layouts.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement performance tuning.
• Implement ABAP Objects and modularize code following SAP best practices and performance guidelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis and implement performance tuning and code optimizations.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and BASIS teams to support transports, testing cycles and deployment activities.

About the Opportunity

We operate in the IT services and enterprise applications sector, delivering SAP implementation, customization and support for large-scale business processes across manufacturing, retail, and services. The role focuses on on‑site SAP development and customization to drive seamless ERP integrations and business process optimization.

Primary title: SAP ABAP Developer

Location: India (On-site)

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver robust ABAP programs including reports, interfaces, enhancements and forms to meet business requirements.
• Build and consume BAPI/RFC interfaces and develop IDoc/ALE interfaces for system integrations and third‑party connectivity.
• Create and maintain Smart Forms/Adobe Forms and ALV layouts for efficient transaction and print outputs.
• Implement ABAP Objects and modularize code following SAP best practices and performance guidelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root‑cause analysis and implement performance tuning and code optimizations.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and BASIS teams to support transports, testing cycles and deployment activities.
