Job summary

DKC Exports is seeking an experienced Sampling Head to lead our garment sampling department in Delhi. The role requires strong technical knowledge, coordination skills, and the ability to manage buyer developments while ensuring timely sample submissions with the highest quality standards.

You will oversee the complete sampling function, drive proto-to-pre-production sample development, and collaborate with Merchandising, Design, Production, QA, and vendors to meet stringent buyer specifications

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in garment exports.
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading a sampling department.
• Strong knowledge of woven, knit, and value-added garments.
• Good understanding of garment construction, pattern, fit, and finishing.
• Experience working with international buyers.
• Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete sampling department.
• Plan and monitor all sample developments from proto to pre-production.
• Coordinate with Merchandising, Design, Production, QA, and vendors for timely sample execution.
• Ensure all samples meet buyer specifications, measurements, fit, workmanship, and quality standards.
• Monitor sample timelines and ensure on-time submissions.
• Manage sample room capacity, workload, and team productivity.
• Review fabric, trims, patterns, and construction before sample development.
• Resolve technical and production challenges during sample development.
• Control sampling costs, wastage, and material utilization.
• Maintain sample tracking, approvals, and documentation.
• Train and develop the sampling team on quality and efficiency.
