As a Salesforce Architect at SailPoint, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our enterprise architecture, ensuring our CRM architecture aligns perfectly with global standards and business objectives. In this role, your typical day will involve leading the design, implementation, and optimization of our Salesforce ecosystem, which includes Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and CPQ. You will act as the technical anchor, translating complex business needs into scalable, secure, and high-quality technical architectures. You will write and review Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC), design integrations and APIs, and work collaboratively with global stakeholders to unlock the maximum potential of our Salesforce platform.
You will join our high-performing Enterprise Applications and Business IT team. This global team of dedicated developers, administrators, and business analysts is committed to driving operational excellence across SailPoint's core systems. We collaborate closely with cross-functional business stakeholders to design and build automated, efficient enterprise workflows. We operate in an agile environment that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, providing you with a supportive network to deliver high-impact results.
First 30 days: Master the technical stack by completing a deep-dive review of our Salesforce ecosystem (Sales, Service, CPQ) and existing integrations to understand operational workflows. Align with Product Owners and business stakeholders to map out strategic project roadmaps and backlog priorities for the upcoming quarters. Learn and adopt internal DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, release management protocols, and environment strategies. Establish collaborative working patterns by conducting introductory meetings and technical syncs with developers, administrators, and business analysts.
By 60 days: Partner with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable Salesforce architectural designs.
6 months: Lead and deliver at least one high-impact, strategic Salesforce architectural initiative from conception to successful production deployment. Optimize system performance by identifying, diagnosing, and resolving platform bottlenecks, reducing technical debt by 15% across core modules. Design and implement at least two reusable integration frameworks or API patterns to streamline data flow between Salesforce and downstream business applications. Establish long‑term system health monitoring configurations and DevOps enhancements to support automated testing and environment alignment.
By 1 year: Own the overall Salesforce architecture roadmap, aligning platform capabilities with SailPoint's long‑term business and enterprise systems goals. Foster a proactive engineering culture by implementing intelligent automation patterns to reduce manual development or operational tasks. Audit and modernize data management strategies, including the optimization of data modeling, data sharing rules, and archiving processes. Conduct architectural reviews for all major platform enhancements, ensuring 100% compliance with security, scalability, and enterprise standards. Drive solution quality by performing regular code reviews of Apex and LWC, advocating for development best practices, and mentoring junior developers on architectural guardrails. Facilitate sprint delivery by collaborating with the Scrum team to resolve technical impediments, refine technical user stories, and ensure predictable releases.
