Job summary

Altera in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India seeks an experienced Salesforce Application Developer to design, develop, and support scalable solutions across Sales, Revenue and Experience Cloud, focusing on quoting and revenue operations and partner portals. You will build with Apex, Lightning Web Components, and integrate AI-enabled Salesforce capabilities to accelerate lead-to-cash.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS / IS or related field.
• 8+ years Salesforce development experience across Sales Cloud, Revenue Cloud/Salesforce CPQ and Experience Cloud.
• Proficient in Apex, SOQL/SOSL and Lightning components (Aura & LWC).
• Knowledge of Salesforce API integration (REST/SOAP) and authentication methods.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud & Revenue Cloud to support sales processes and external portal experiences.
• Build and customize Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex classes, triggers, Flows, and REST APIs to meet complex business requirements.
• Develop and configure Sales Cloud features such as opportunity management, lead routing, approval processes, sales automation, and dashboards.
• Develop and configure Revenue Cloud features such as Quote Management, Pricing Procedures, Approval Flows, Contract management, etc.
• Integrate AI/Agentic AI features with Agentforce.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and UX designers to translate user stories and wireframes into technical solutions.
• Integrate Salesforce with third-party systems (e.g., ERP, PIMS, marketing tools, analytics) using APIs or Boomi.
• Ensure Salesforce development best practices, code reviews, security standards, and change management processes.
• Support testing, performance tuning, and deployment in development and production environments.
• Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancement for existing applications.

Job Description:

Salesforce Application Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable solutions across Sales,Revenue & Experience Cloud. This role will focus on building and enhancing sales automation processes for our Quoting and Revenue operations and customer/partner portal experiences. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver user-centric solutions through custom development, configuration, and system integration. Ideal candidates will have strong technical expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components and Salesforce platform capabilities. This role requires building with an AI-first mindset, leveraging Salesforce AI and Agentic AI to deliver a seamlessly integrated selling experience where predictive intelligence and autonomous agents work in tandem to hyper-personalize the customer & user journey and accelerate the lead-to-cash cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop custom Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud & Revenue Cloud to support sales processes and external portal experiences.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field; relevant work experience considered in lieu of degree.

• 8+ years of hands‑on Salesforce development experience, with demonstrated expertise across Sales Cloud, Revenue Cloud/Salesforce CPQ and Experience Cloud.

• Excellent knowledge and development experience in Apex, SOQL/SOSL, Governor Limits, Declarative Automation, Web Services and Lightning components development (Aura and LWC).

• Strong functional knowledge of Sales Cloud & Revenue Cloud/Salesforce CPQ.

• Exposure to Agentforce to automate complex business workflows.

• Familiarity with Salesforce API integration and authentication methods (REST/SOAP, Named Credentials, OAuth).

• Salesforce certifications preferred (e.g., Platform Developer I/II, Sales Cloud Consultant, Experience Cloud Consultant, Revenue Cloud Consultant, Agentforce Specialist).

• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.

• Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git, Copado, Gearset), CI/CD and deployment techniques in Salesforce.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to innovate and deliver impactful technical solutions in a fast‑paced, evolving business environment.

• Proven track record of implementing innovative technology solutions that drive business value.
