We are seeking a Salesforce Developer and Administrator who takes genuine ownership of the platform - from daily administration and configuration to building the automation that makes our teams faster and smarter. Reporting to the Sr. Systems Engineer, you will be the hands-on practitioner who keeps Salesforce performing at its best and continuously improving. This is a highly visible role: your work directly shapes how our executive search and investment teams operate every day. You will work alongside AI development tooling (Claude and Claude Code) and collaborate with an engineering team that is building something meaningful.
If you want to own a platform that matters, operate at the intersection of technology and high-stakes business, and grow within a firm where technology is becoming a true differentiator - this is that opportunity. Salesforce certifications are valued, and a passion for clean configuration and continuous improvement will set you apart.
The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:
Salesforce Administration and Ownership:
- Serve as the primary Salesforce administrator, owning user management, permission sets, profiles, roles, and security settings.
- Manage case management queues, assignment rules, escalation rules, and service workflows within Salesforce.
- Maintain object schema, page layouts, validation rules, record types, and field-level security to support day-to-day business operations.
- Perform regular data quality reviews, deduplication, and import/export operations; manage sandbox environments and data refreshes.
- Respond to end-user support requests and ensure reliable platform operations for internal stakeholders.
Salesforce Development and Technical Execution:
- Build and maintain Flows, Process Builder automations, and declarative solutions to automate business processes.
- Develop and maintain Apex triggers, classes, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) as needed.
- Write and maintain test classes to support deployment pipelines and enforce code coverage requirements.
- Implement solutions aligned with Salesforce best practices - scalable, well-documented, and change-control compliant.
- Support metadata deployments through Git-based source control and managed releases.
Integration and System Configuration Support:
- Support the configuration and troubleshooting of third-party systems that integrate with Salesforce.
- Assist the Sr. Systems Engineer with API-level integration work, including mapping data flows between Salesforce and connected platforms.
- Maintain documentation of integration configurations, field mappings, and system dependencies for internal reference.
AI-Assisted Development:
- Incorporate AI tools - including Claude and Claude Code - into daily development, automation-building, and documentation workflows.
- Use AI-assisted development to accelerate configuration cycles, generate test coverage, and improve solution quality.
- Bring an openness to adopting new AI tooling and workflows as the team's practices continue to evolve.
Agile, Jira and Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Maintain the team's Jira board for Salesforce workstreams - write and groom tickets, track sprint progress, and keep statuses current.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives; communicate blockers and delivery timelines clearly.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requests into well-scoped technical work items.
- Serve as a responsive point of contact for internal teams who rely on Salesforce daily.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience in a production environment.
- Demonstrated Salesforce development experience: Flows, Apex, and Lightning Web Components.
- Active Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM 201) or Platform Developer I - or higher.
- Experience working with Git-based version control for Salesforce deployments.
- Individual contributor mentality: you write and configure directly, not through delegation.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with third-party systems via APIs or middleware tools.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows (Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar).
- Prior experience in a PE firm, financial services, or executive search environment.
Tools and Platforms:
Candidates should be comfortable working across the following:
- Salesforce - Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, custom objects and case management.
- Claude and Claude Code - primary AI development environment (enterprise license).
- Git / GitHub - version control for Salesforce deployments.
- Google Workspace - Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Apps Script integrations.
- Project management - Jira.
