Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer Salesforce with 5+ years of Salesforce experience and strong hands-on expertise in Salesforce CPQ and CPQ+ development.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in designing, configuring, developing, and supporting CPQ solutions covering product configuration, product bundling, pricing, quotation, discounting, approvals, and Quote-to-Cash processes. The candidate should be capable of translating business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions while following Salesforce development and administration best practices.
The role requires a strong understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Salesforce Administration, declarative development, user and access management, reporting, data management, managed packages, and integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, customize, develop, and support Salesforce CPQ solutions across the Quote-to-Cash lifecycle.
- Manage product catalogs, product configuration, bundles, options, features, attributes, and product rules.
- Configure complex pricing, discounting, price rules, discount schedules, pricing methods, and contractual pricing.
- Design and maintain quotation processes, quote templates, quote calculations, approval workflows, and guided selling.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand quoting and commercial requirements and translate them into Salesforce CPQ solutions.
- Support downstream processes including Orders, Contracts, Renewals, Amendments, and related Q2C processes.
- Troubleshoot CPQ calculation, configuration, pricing, product bundling, and quotation issues.
2. CPQ Administration & Configuration
- Configure and maintain Salesforce CPQ application settings and business rules.
- Manage Product Rules, Configuration Rules, Validation Rules, Selection Rules, Price Rules, and Alert Rules.
- Configure approval processes and ensure appropriate governance around pricing, discounting, and commercial approvals.
- Manage CPQ-related users, profiles, permission sets, access controls, and security.
- Perform data analysis and updates related to products, pricing, contracts, quotes, and customers.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify configuration and process issues.
- Perform Salesforce administration activities across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
- Configure users, profiles, permission sets, roles, queues, assignment rules, escalation rules, notifications, and access controls.
- Develop and maintain declarative Salesforce solutions using standard configuration capabilities.
- Manage Salesforce data, reports, dashboards, and business processes.
- Support managed package installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Ensure Salesforce solutions follow platform best practices and governance standards.
4. Integration & Data Management
- Collaborate with integration teams to ensure accurate flow of product, pricing, customer, quote, order, contract, and billing data.
- Troubleshoot integration failures and data synchronization issues.
- Work with large data volumes and maintain data integrity across Salesforce CPQ and connected systems.
- Support managed packages and native/external Salesforce integrations.
- Participate in data migration, validation, and deployment activities.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Technical Leadership
- Work closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, administrators, and integration teams.
- Understand complex business requirements and recommend scalable Salesforce CPQ solutions.
- Participate in solution discussions, technical reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members on Salesforce CPQ and Salesforce platform capabilities.
- Communicate technical issues, dependencies, risks, and solutions effectively to stakeholders.
Required Technical Skills & Competencies
- 6+ years of Salesforce experience with strong hands-on Salesforce CPQ/CPQ+ experience.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce CPQ architecture and Quote-to-Cash processes.
- Strong hands-on experience with Product Configuration and Product Bundling.
- Strong experience with Pricing, Discounting, Quotation, Quote Management, and Approval Workflows.
- Strong experience with Product Rules, Configuration Rules, Validation Rules, Selection Rules, Price Rules, and Alert Rules.
- Strong understanding of Orders, Contracts, Amendments, and Renewals.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
- Experience with declarative Salesforce development and configuration.
- Experience with user and access management, profiles, permission sets, roles, queues, and security.
- Experience with assignment rules, escalation rules, notifications, and Salesforce workflows.
- Experience with Salesforce reporting and data management.
- Experience with managed packages and Salesforce integrations.
