Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Salesforce CPQ Developer & Administrator with 6-8 years of Salesforce experience and strong expertise in Salesforce CPQ and Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) processes.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience designing, configuring, customizing, and supporting CPQ solutions covering product configuration, pricing, discounting, quoting, approvals, and order/contract processes. The candidate should also be technically strong in Apex, LWC, SOQL, APIs, and Salesforce integrations.
This is a hybrid CPQ Functional + Salesforce Technical role requiring the ability to translate business requirements into scalable CPQ solutions, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and work effectively with architects, developers, integration teams, business analysts, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, customize, and support Salesforce CPQ solutions across the complete Quote-to-Cash lifecycle.
- Manage product catalogs, product configuration, bundles, options, features, attributes, and product rules.
- Configure complex pricing, discounting, price rules, discount schedules, pricing methods, and contractual pricing.
- Design and maintain quote templates, quote calculations, approval workflows, and guided selling processes.
- Translate business and commercial requirements into scalable Salesforce CPQ solutions.
- Support downstream processes including Orders, Contracts, Renewals, Amendments, and related Q2C processes.
- Troubleshoot CPQ calculation, configuration, pricing, and quoting issues.
- Develop and customize Salesforce solutions using Apex, LWC, SOQL, SOSL, Flows, and Triggers.
- Build custom functionality where standard Salesforce CPQ capabilities do not meet business requirements.
- Develop scalable and maintainable Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs, and Queueable jobs.
- Develop Lightning Web Components to support CPQ and Salesforce business processes.
- Design and implement integrations between Salesforce CPQ and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware.
- Work with Salesforce APIs, Named Credentials, authentication mechanisms, webhooks, and integration patterns.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues across Salesforce and CPQ.
3.CPQ Administration & Configuration
- Configure and maintain Salesforce CPQ application settings and business rules.
- Manage Product Rules, Configuration Rules, Validation Rules, Selection Rules, Price Rules, and Alert Rules.
- Configure approval processes and establish appropriate governance around discounting and commercial approvals.
- Manage CPQ-related user access, permissions, profiles, permission sets, and security.
- Perform data analysis and updates related to products, pricing, contracts, quotes, and customers.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify configuration and process issues.
4.Integration & Data Management
- Collaborate with integration teams to ensure accurate flow of product, pricing, customer, quote, order, contract, and billing data.
- Troubleshoot integration failures and data synchronization issues.
- Work with large data volumes while maintaining data integrity across Salesforce CPQ and connected systems.
- Support data migration, validation, reconciliation, and deployment activities.
- Ensure reliable integration between Salesforce Sales Cloud, CPQ, and connected enterprise systems.
5.Deployment & Production Support
- Follow Salesforce development, configuration, and deployment best practices.
- Work with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Salesforce DX, and DevOps tools for deployments.
- Participate in release planning, code reviews, testing, deployment, and post-release validation.
- Provide production support and participate in root-cause analysis for critical CPQ issues.
- Troubleshoot configuration, integration, data, and application issues.
- Maintain technical documentation, configuration documentation, and solution design artifacts.
6.Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with architects, developers, business analysts, integration teams, and business stakeholders.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into practical Salesforce CPQ solutions.
- Independently own CPQ-related requirements and delivery activities.
- Communicate technical concepts and solution approaches effectively to business and technical stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and delivery activities.
Required Technical Skills & Competencies
- 6-8 years of Salesforce experience with strong hands-on Salesforce CPQ experience.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce CPQ architecture and Quote-to-Cash processes.
- Strong hands-on experience with Product Configuration, Product Bundles, Product & Configuration Rules, Pricing Rules, Discounting, Discount Schedules, Quote Management, Approval Workflows, Quote Templates, Amendments, Renewals, Orders, and Contracts.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud and CPQ integration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, Flows, and Triggers.
- Strong experience with REST/SOAP APIs and Salesforce integrations.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security, governor limits, and platform best practices.
- Experience with Salesforce integration patterns and external enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of Named Credentials, OAuth, middleware, and webhooks.
- Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD/DevOps processes.
- Experience with Salesforce deployment and release management across environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
