Job summary

Intellectual Capital HR Consulting Pvt. Ltd. seeks an experienced Sales Trader - Institutional Equity in Mumbai to manage institutional client relationships and execute equity trades efficiently. The role requires expertise in equity markets, market microstructure, and timely execution.

You will interact with Mutual Funds, PMS, AIFs, FIIs/FPIs, and Insurance Companies while ensuring best-execution and compliance. NISM certifications are preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of relevant experience in Institutional Equity Sales Trading / Equity Dealing / Institutional Broking.
• Strong understanding of Indian equity markets, trading mechanisms, market structure and execution strategies.
• Graduate or postgraduate in Finance, Economics, or Business; NISM certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute institutional equity trades across cash market segments with accuracy, speed and adherence to best-execution practices.
• Build and maintain relationships with Mutual Funds, PMS, AIFs, FIIs/FPIs, Insurance Companies and other institutional investors.
• Act as a key interface between institutional clients, research, dealing and execution teams.
• Understand client trading requirements and provide market colour, liquidity updates, trading ideas and execution support.
• Monitor market movements, volumes, liquidity, order flows and price trends to support effective trade execution.
• Generate trading opportunities through existing institutional relationships and deepen client engagement.
• Coordinate with research and other internal teams to provide relevant market and stock-level insights to clients.
• Ensure adherence to internal risk controls, regulatory requirements and compliance procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, orders and trading activities.

About the Role

Candidate Profile

• 3-8 years of relevant experience in Institutional Equity Sales Trading / Equity Dealing / Institutional Broking.
• Strong understanding of Indian equity markets, trading mechanisms, market structure and execution strategies.
• Existing relationships with institutional investors will be an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation and client-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, market-driven environment.
• Strong numerical, analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline. NISM certification(s) relevant to the role would be preferred.
