Job summary

ABP Empower in India seeks a Bancassurance Sales Manager to drive life insurance sales through banking partner networks by actively managing partner relationships, achieving revenue targets, and training bank staff to present products effectively.

You will serve as the bridge between ABP Empower and the partner banks, lead relationship management, coordinate with operations for policy issuance, renewals and claims, and guide field teams to maximize cross‑selling opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline; MBA in marketing or finance preferred.
• 1–6 years of proven experience in Life Insurance sales, bancassurance preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities; comfortable with sales metrics.

Responsibilities

• Relationship management with bank branch managers, tellers, and relationship officers to promote offerings.

Role Overview

Bancassurance involves selling insurance policies life insurance through a partner banks branch network. As a Sales Manager, you act as the bridge between the insurance company and the partner bank.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management: Build strong, daily working bonds with bank branch managers, tellers, and relationship officers to promote insurance offerings. Sales Target Achievement: Drive cross-selling and up-selling of insurance policies to the banks existing and walk-in customer base to meet monthly and annual business goals. Staff Training: Train bank employees on insurance products, sales pitches, and regulatory guidelines so they can confidently recommend policies. Lead Conversion: Assist bank staff in closing high-value sales, conducting joint client meetings, and processing customer leads efficiently. Operations and Service Support: Coordinate with internal operations teams to ensure smooth policy issuance, renewals, and claims registration for bank clients.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education: A bachelor's degree in any discipline (an MBA in marketing or finance is often preferred).

Experience: 1 to 6 years of proven experience in Life Insurance) sales, specifically in bancassurance or life insurance.

Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, interpersonal abilities, and comfort working toward strict sales metrics.
