Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Sales Incentive Compensation Business Analyst to drive accuracy and efficiency in incentive programs. You will partner with Sales, Finance, and cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights and support compensation operations.

The role emphasizes strong analytics, process improvement, and proficiency with SQL, Excel, Alteryx, and ICM tools within a global, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Sales Compensation, Finance, or related analytical role.
  • Strong knowledge of sales compensation processes and incentive programs.
  • Advanced Excel and SQL proficiency.
  • Experience with Alteryx and Incentive Compensation Management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Administer sales compensation plans and incentive programs.
  • Process EAFs and compensation adjustments accurately.
  • Manage compensation exception cases and resolve queries.
  • Track and report sales performance across compensation and awards.
  • Support SPIFFs and President's Club programs.
  • Perform data validation, analysis, and reporting for payouts.
  • Develop and improve workflows, SOPs, and reporting processes.
  • Utilize SQL, Alteryx, and ICM tools to support automation.

Job Description:

Join our Sales Incentive Compensation team as a Sales Incentive Business Analyst, where you'll play a key role in driving compensation accuracy, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making. In this role, you will partner with Sales, Finance, and cross-functional teams to manage incentive programs, support compensation operations, and deliver actionable insights that influence business performance. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving complex problems, leveraging analytics, and contributing to the success of a high-performing sales organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer sales compensation plans and incentive programs.
  • Process Employee Action Forms (EAFs) and compensation adjustments accurately.
  • Manage compensation exception cases and resolve related queries.
  • Track and report sales performance across compensation and award programs.
  • Support sales award programs, including SPIFFs and President's Club.
  • Perform data validation, analysis, and reporting for compensation payouts.
  • Develop and improve workflows, SOPs, and reporting processes.
  • Utilize SQL, Alteryx, and ICM tools to support automation and analytics.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence and compliance.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Sales Compensation, Finance, Accounting, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong knowledge of sales compensation processes and incentive programs.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience with Alteryx and Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience with Varicent, SAP Callidus, or Xactly.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled analytics and process automation tools.
  • Proven experience driving process improvements and operational efficiency.
