Job summary

Victaulic is seeking a Sales Engineer - Fire Protection based in Mumbai (Remote) to promote and sell its fire protection product range across the territory. The role involves visiting Owners, Engineering Offices, MEP Consultants, job sites, PMC, Architects, Contractors and Distributors to demonstrate Victaulic tools and secure system specifications.

Qualifications

• University or College degree, preferably mechanical engineering.
• Familiarity with Piping Products & Systems; knowledge of Fire products is a plus.
• Willing to travel as required.
• Strong communication skills and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Sell and promote Victaulic product range in the territory.
• Prospect and visit owners, MEP consultants, job sites, architects and contractors.
• Demonstrate and explain Victaulic tools and systems to stakeholders.
• Secure acceptance of Victaulic systems by industry and customers.
• Coordinate with local distributors to ensure information flow and support.
• Train contractor personnel on installation and usage of Victaulic systems.
• Handle product claims with engineering support and assist finance with receivables.
• Provide weekly activity reports to supervisor and work to achieve sales budgets.
• Collaborate with other sales colleagues in the territory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for sales and promotion of the Company product range in his territory
• Prospect and visit Owners, Engineering Offices - MEP Consultants, Job Sites, PMC, Architects, Contractors, Distributors, and all other relevant instances to Demonstrate and explain the Victaulic tools.
• Demonstrate and explain the Victaulic tools.
• Pursue and obtain the acceptance and specification of the Victaulic System by the Industry, Owners, Engineering Companies and Contractors.
• Ensure that the proper knowledge of the Victaulic System is present in his territory, through usage of adequate means such as seminars, training, technical literature, and technical support.
• Participate at trade shows and other promotional activities beneficial to the promotion of the Victaulic system.
• Liaise with the local Victaulic distributor to ensure the proper information flow is available and maintained.
• Visit job sites and follow up on the installation process of the Victaulic System by the contractors. Train the contractor's personnel in usage and installation of the Victaulic system if required.
• Handle product claims in cooperation with Victaulic Corporate Engineering.
• Provide assistance to finance personnel in collecting receivables for customers
• Report on weekly basis to his superior on activities and marketing information in his territory. Using SPM as required by company policy. Achieve budgeted sales and results in his territory.
• Co-ordinate with other sales colleagues in the territory.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• University or College degree, preferably as mechanical engineer, or demonstrate equivalent technical knowledge acquired through experience.
• Familiarity with the Piping Products & System or show the ability to quickly acquire the necessary knowledge and skills. Similar Fire products knowledge is an added advantage.
• Willing to travel as required.
