Job summary

Victaulic Company in India is seeking a Sales Engineer - Fire Protection to drive sales, promote the Victaulic system, and build strong relationships with owners, engineering offices, and contractors in the Bangalore region.

You will travel as needed, conduct product demonstrations, coordinate with distributors, and support project teams from inquiry through installation, ensuring technical accuracy and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• University or College degree, preferably mechanical engineer.
• Familiarity with piping products and systems; fire products knowledge is a plus.
• Willing to travel as required.
• Strong communication skills and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Promote Victaulic product range in territory to owners, offices, consultants, and contractors.
• Demonstrate Victaulic tools and obtain acceptance of the Victaulic System by the industry.
• Promote knowledge through seminars, training, literature, and technical support.
• Coordinate with local Victaulic distributor and visit job sites.
• Visit job sites and train contractor personnel as required.
• Handle product claims with engineering support and assist finance with receivables.
• Report weekly on activities and marketing information; achieve budgeted sales.

Position: Sales Engineer - Fire Protection

Reports To: Regional Sales Manager

Location: Bangalore (Remote)

Experience: 7 - 10 years

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for sales and promotion of the Company product range in his territory
• Prospect and visit Owners, Engineering Offices - MEP Consultants, Job Sites, PMC, Architects, Contractors, Distributors, and all other relevant instances to promote the Victaulic System in his territory.
• Demonstrate and explain the Victaulic tools.
• Pursue and obtain the acceptance and specification of the Victaulic System by the Industry, Owners, Engineering Companies and Contractors.
• Ensure that the proper knowledge of the Victaulic System is present in his territory, through usage of adequate means such as seminars, training, technical literature, and technical support.
• Participate at trade shows and other promotional activities beneficial to the promotion of the Victaulic system.
• Liaise with the local Victaulic distributor to ensure the proper information flow is available and maintained.
• Visit job sites and follow up on the installation process of the Victaulic System by the contractors. Train the contractor's personnel in usage and installation of the Victaulic system if required.
• Handle product claims in cooperation with Victaulic Corporate Engineering.
• Provide assistance to finance personnel in collecting receivables for customers
• Report on weekly basis to his superior on activities and marketing information in his territory. Using SPM as required by company policy. Achieve budgeted sales and results in his territory.
• Co-ordinate with other sales colleagues in the territory.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• University or College degree, preferably as mechanical engineer, or demonstrate equivalent technical knowledge acquired through experience.
• Familiarity with the Piping Products & System or show the ability to quickly acquire the necessary knowledge and skills. Similar Fire products knowledge is an added advantage.
• Willing to travel as required.
