Job summary

Maersk Line Limited is seeking an HSE Professional in India to drive the Zero Incident safety programme and ensure safe working practices. You will implement HSE policies, prepare ERP, and conduct site inspections for electrical and fire safety.

The role includes training, audits, and promoting systematic safety culture across operations. The ideal candidate has 4-5 years in HSE with at least 2 years in a similar role, English fluency, and knowledge of HSSE regulations relevant to logistics and

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of industry experience with minimum 2 years as an HSE Professional.
• Strong passion for keeping people safe.
• Knowledge of Electrical safety and Fire Safety systems.
• Familiarity with local HSSE regulations in logistics and sustainable transportation.
• Understanding of risk management principles and barrier controls.
• Fluency in English; local language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive Zero Incident HSE Programme and implement safety policies.
• Prepare and implement Emergency Response Plans (ERP).
• Develop site-specific inspection and monitoring for electrical/fire safety.
• Participate in HSE audits and maintain safety statistics.
• Conduct toolbox talks and trainings on material handling, MHE operations, crane operation, and PPE use.
• Promote safety consciousness and safe packing practices at sites.

Job description

Drive Zero Incident HSE Programme by ensuring safe working practices and identify/help in eliminating the unsafe conditions

• Implement, Monitor and Maintain the HSE related policies and guidelines in strict accordance with the defined HSE strategy
• Prepare and Implement Emergency Response Plans (ERP)
• Developing site specific Inspection checking and monitoring system for Electrical Safety, Fire Safety, etc.
• Participate in periodical HSE Audits
• Maintaining HSE statistics and provide project statistical information & reporting as and when required
• Conducting site safety inspections on appropriate use of PPE, upkeep of tools, tackles, lifting machines etc.
• Periodic training for Material handling, MHE operations, defensive driving, crane operation, pedestrian safety, use of PPE etc.
• Ensuring Near miss and hazards are reported as per required target
• Develop material for regular toolbox talks for daily, weekly and monthly HSE Review Meetings
• Promoting safety consciousness at site and regularly engage with employees for better safety performance during their work
• Implementation of safe packing practices

Who we are looking for

• 4-5 years of industry experience with minimum 2 years as an HSE Professional

• Knowledge and understanding of Electrical safety, Fire Safety systems.
• Having sound knowledge of local HSSE legislations, property and process design and operational requirements applicable to logistics industry including sustainable transportation
• Good understanding of risk management principles and application of barriers and critical controls
• Fluency in English and preference for local language spoken and written
