Job summary

Maersk is seeking an HSE professional in Mumbai to drive safety via the Zero Incident programme. You will implement safety policies, develop ERP, and manage site inspections for electrical, fire, and overall HSE compliance.

The role requires 4–5 years in the industry with at least 2 years in HSE, strong knowledge of HSSE laws, risk management, and fluency in English and a local language. This is a full-time position with opportunities to influence safety culture across logistics operations.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of industry experience with minimum 2 years as an HSE professional.
• Knowledge of Electrical safety and Fire safety systems.
• Sound knowledge of local HSSE legislations, property and process design for logistics.
• Good understanding of risk management principles and critical controls.
• Fluency in English and proficiency in a local language.

Responsibilities

• Drive Zero Incident HSE Programme by ensuring safe working practices and identify unsafe conditions.
• Implement, monitor and maintain HSE policies and guidelines per the strategy.
• Prepare and implement ERP; develop site-specific inspection systems for safety.
• Participate in HSE audits and maintain safety statistics and reporting.
• Conduct site safety inspections on PPE use, tools, tackles, lifting machines, etc.
• Deliver regular toolbox talks and training on material handling and safety topics.
