Job summary

Integrated Personnel Services Limited in Jamnagar, Gujarat invites a Safety Engineer with 5–9 years of experience in safety management for industrial construction projects. A BE/BTech in Civil or Mechanical engineering and ADIS/PDIS from a State Government recognised institution are mandatory.

You will lead HSE activities, conduct audits and training, manage permits-to-work, review JSA and risk assessments, and promote a strong safety culture on site while ensuring compliance with statutory

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• ADIS/PDIS from a State Government-recognized institution mandatory.
• 5–9 years of safety management experience in industrial construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation and compliance of HSE standards across the project site.
• Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Monitor construction activities and ensure adherence to safety procedures, permits, and statutory requirements.
• Review and approve JSA, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and PTW systems.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training programs for project personnel.
• Investigate incidents and near misses and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices.
• Coordinate emergency drills and ensure availability of response resources.
• Maintain HSE records, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Liaise with project teams and contractors to promote a strong safety culture.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation and compliance of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards across the project site.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Monitor construction activities and ensure adherence to safety procedures, work permits, and statutory requirements.
• Review and approve Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, training programs, and awareness sessions for project personnel.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure compliance with project HSE requirements.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and implementation of safe work practices.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness drills and ensure availability of emergency response resources.
• Maintain HSE records, reports, accident statistics, and compliance documentation.
• Liaise with project teams, contractors, and management to promote a strong safety culture on site.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory regulations, safety standards, and organizational HSE policies.

Key Requirements

• 5 to 9 years of experience in safety management for industrial construction projects.
• B.E. / B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• ADIS/PDIS from a State Government-recognized institution is mandatory.
• Experience in industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, refinery, petrochemical, power, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, permit systems, hazard identification, and risk management.
• Hands-on experience in conducting safety audits, incident investigation, and safety trainings.
• Familiarity with statutory safety regulations and industrial HSE requirements.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams and contractors.
