Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Consultant / Senior Consultant for SAP S/4HANA Support (Order Management) to back global O2C operations. You will provide functional support for SAP S/4HANA Order Management and SD, handle incidents, changes, and enhancements, and coordinate with business users and technical teams.

Responsibilities

Job Description Consultant / Senior Consultant – SAP S/4HANA Support (Order Management)

As a Consultant – SAP S/4HANA Support (Order Management), you will be part of a high-performing team responsible for supporting and enhancing critical Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes within SAP S/4HANA environments. You will play a key role in ensuring business continuity, driving process improvements, resolving complex production issues, and supporting global supply chain and customer fulfillment operations.

This role combines strong SAP Order Management expertise with operational support experience and an understanding of logistics processes to deliver business value across global supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide functional support for SAP S/4HANA Order Management and Sales & Distribution (SD) processes.
• Manage incident, problem, service request, and change management activities in line with SLA commitments.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues impacting order processing, fulfillment, delivery, billing, and customer service operations.
• Coordinate with business users, SAP functional teams, and technical teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Support system enhancements, configuration changes, testing activities, and deployment of business requirements.
• Support integration touchpoints between SAP SD and related modules such as: MM (Materials Management), EWM / WM (Extended Warehouse Management), TM (Transportation Management), PP (Production Planning) and FI (Finance)
• Support end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes including - Customer Order Management, Order Fulfillment, Backorder Processing, Delivery Processing, Shipping & Transportation Coordination, Billing and Invoicing, Returns and Credit Management
• Monitor transaction flows and proactively identify process bottlenecks impacting customer service levels.
• Ensure data accuracy and process compliance across order management activities.
• Identify recurring issues and drive root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions.
• Support process standardization, automation, and optimisation initiatives.
• Contribute to knowledge management by creating support documentation, SOPs, knowledge articles, and user training materials.

SAP Functional Skills

• Strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Sales & Distribution (SD) module.
• Hands-on experience in Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.
• Understanding of: Customer Master Data, Material Master Data, Sales Orders, Delivery Processing, Billing, Pricing, Credit Management and Returns Management
• Exposure to Fiori applications relevant to Order Management.
• Experience working with SAP Solution Manager, ServiceNow, Jira, or equivalent ticketing tools.

Domain Skills

• Strong understanding of Order Management operations and customer fulfillment processes.
• Knowledge of logistics and supply chain execution processes including warehousing, transportation, and inventory movement is a strong advantage.

Qualification/ Our Ideal Candidate

• 4–8 years of experience in SAP SD / Order Management support, preferably in S/4HANA environments.
• Experience supporting global Order-to-Cash processes in manufacturing, FMCG, retail, consumer products, life sciences, or industrial sectors.
• Hands-on experience in SAP production support, AMS (Application Management Services), or support and enhancement engagements.
• Good understanding of Order Management business processes and supply chain operations.
• Exposure to logistics, warehouse operations, transportation, or inventory management processes is highly desirable.
• Experience with incident management, change management, and release support activities.
• Ability to work with global business stakeholders across multiple regions and time zones.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Operations, Commerce, or related discipline.
• SAP S/4HANA SD certification is preferred.
• Additional certifications in Supply Chain, Logistics, or SAP-related modules will be an advantage.
