Job summary

Synthires is seeking experienced software engineers and open-source contributors for a contract role to create realistic coding challenges that train AI systems. You will build reproducible reinforcement learning environments and deterministic verifiers.

Remote worldwide, engagement includes Python, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript; onboarding occurs after selection and tasks typically run ~15 hours each.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering experience in at least one relevant language (Python, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript).
• Experience building scalable services and APIs.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and core CS concepts.
• Proficiency in debugging, automated testing, and performance optimization.
• Experience with code review, bug fixing, and feature implementation.

About the Opportunity

We’re seeking experienced software engineers and open-source contributors to create realistic coding challenges that help train next-generation AI systems. You’ll develop reproducible reinforcement learning environments that test AI models on bug fixing, feature implementation, code refactoring, and performance optimization. No prior AI experience is required.
