Job summary

OpenTrain AI is hiring to create and evaluate real-world coding tasks for AI systems. You work remotely on your own schedule, earning $100–$150 per hour equivalent, paid per accepted task. Expect roughly 15–20 hours weekly, with full flexibility and independent contractor status.

You will design challenging tasks, reproduce issues, implement fixes, and assess AI-generated patches for quality and security while explaining gaps from your expert perspective.

• No AI experience required; you bring the coding expertise and we provide the training.

Work on the cutting edge of AI coding systems, on your own schedule, and get paid for the software expertise you already have.

The AI coding systems changing how software gets built are trained and tested by real software engineers. The teams building them need engineers who can create realistic, difficult coding tasks, judge how well the AI handles them, write the fix and tests a strong engineer would provide, and explain exactly where the generated code falls short. Your judgment helps shape the next generation of AI coding systems. This is that work, done remotely around your current job.

What you'll do

• Create challenging coding tasks from unfamiliar repositories, covering bugs in both front-end and back-end code
• Reproduce software issues and follow data and execution through services, APIs, libraries and databases to find the root cause
• Implement fixes that fit the existing architecture and write tests that validate the result
• Assess patches produced by AI for security and maintainability as well as correctness and completeness, then explain where they fall short
