ADP seeks an Architect - Devops and Infrastructure to migrate on prem applications to Azure Cloud. The role bridges development and operations, driving collaboration for system stability and cost efficiency.

The candidate will lead in building CI/CD pipelines, designing cloud architectures, and working with Windows-based applications using C#, .NET. Expect senior leadership in Azure, DevSecOps, and SRE practices.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate has 15+ years as a DevOps architect with ~10 years in Azure.
• Experience managing and administering Windows-based applications.
• Proficient in C#, .NET ecosystem for Windows platforms.
• Extensive Azure Cloud Architecture & Administration experience.
• Experience in DevSecOps and SRE for Agile projects.
• Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift containerization.
• Proficient in Terraform/Ansible playbooks.
• Familiar with Jenkins, Helm, JFrog Artifactory, Liquibase.
• Experience with SQL Server and MongoDB.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable and reliable cloud architectures and select optimal solutions.

Job description

Architect - Devops and Infrastructure:

The primary objective of this role is to migrate on prem applications to Azure Cloud. This position uniquely bridges the gap between development and operations/engineering branches, fostering collaboration and coordination for optimal application stability.

This role will work with the following roles:

Build Engineers:

Responsibilities include building both the classic and next gen applications

Devops Engineers:

Responsibilities include developing CI/CD pipelines for the application. Build and improve deployment tools that deploy the application into cloud

Application Database Administrators (App DBA):

Responsibilities include optimizing database performance for the application. Design/optimize database architecture for Azure cloud.

Network/Storage Engineers:

Responsibilities include setting up firewalls and configuring security profile for the application. Design cost effective storage solutions for applications and databases

Duties:

Design different architectures for scalability and reliability of the application in the cloud and pick the optimal solution. Design strategies to minimize operating costs of the application. Work with Microsoft, various vendors and the application teams fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, ownership, and accountability. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines which result in reduction of deployment times and effectively manage costs.

Architectural Responsibilities:

Actively participate in the Architecture Group, providing expertise on long-term devops technology options.

• Assess and recommend different devops technologies, best practices and processes.
• Review database performance optimization strategies.
• Design solutions that identify performance bottle necks by working with the performance team
• Design cloud resiliency and disaster recovery strategies
• Collaborate with other architects within the group.

The ideal candidate will have served as Devops architect for at least 15 years with around 10 years of experience in Azure. The candidate will be familiar with managing and administering applications deployed in Windows platform. The candidate will have considerable experience developing applications on windows platform using any of the program languages: C#, .Net etc. The candidate would have extensive experience in the design and implementation of Azure Cloud Architecture & Administration, DevSecOps and SRE for Agile projects. The candidate would be experienced in the leading containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift etc. Should be experienced in writing Terraform/Ansible playbook. Should be familiar with tools like Jenkins, Helm, JFrog Artifactory, Liquibase etc., The candidate would have worked with SQL Server and Mongo DB.
