Job summary

TO THE NEW is seeking an experienced DevOps leader to design and implement Azure-based cloud solutions. You will drive CI/CD pipelines, IaC with Terraform, and automated, secure, scalable deployments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align with business goals.

The role focuses on modernization of applications, cost-aware infrastructure, and continuous improvement in DevOps practices, with strong emphasis on Azure services and automation.

Qualifications

• B.E/B.Tech/MCA with 6+ years of DevOps experience.
• Hands-on Azure Well-Architected Framework setup from scratch using Azure services.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Design a strategy for next-generation applications utilizing cloud-native, microservices, and serverless architectures.
• Create the architecture and infrastructure setup, deploy, and manage applications on Azure Cloud based on customer requirements using Infrastructure as Code
• Collaborate closely with development teams to gather system requirements, propose new services, and identify areas for significant system improvements to lead to a robust infrastructure architecture that ensures stable, well-monitored, and secure applications.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and enhance application performance with solutions such as database indexing, Varnish, Memcache, Redis, and CloudFront.
• Implement configuration management for development, testing, and production environments using tools like Ansible.
• Control infrastructure costs by consistently seeking opportunities to right-size servers and services.
• Manage permissions, backups, and performance across various databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
• Serve as a technical and cultural change catalyst, fostering learning and the progressive adoption of DevOps best practices and techniques.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate is responsible for leading and implementing DevOps practices to enhance the development, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based applications and services on Microsoft Azure. This role involves designing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure as code (IaC), monitoring system performance, and ensuring secure, scalable, and highly available Azure environments. They would collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, foster a DevOps culture, and ensure seamless delivery of solutions aligned with business goals.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E/B.Tech/MCA with 6+ years of experience in DevOps and Enterprise Applications deployments on Azure clouds
• Hands-on experience setting up Azure Well-architected framework recommended setup from scratch using various Azure services like Virtual Machines, Storage (Blob, Page, Archive), Azure SQL Database, Azure CDN, Azure Automation, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Active Directory, Traffic Manager, Scheduler, Database Migration Service, etc
• Prior work experience on Infrastructure as Code using technologies like Terraform and experience in cost Management and billing have implemented zero downtime deployment on auto scaling infrastructure using CI/CD Tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, CircleCI, Gitlab, CodeDeploy, etc
• Familiarity with Microservices architectures using technologies such as Kubernetes
• Experience in a modern software development environment that is Agile and incorporates DevOps practices and in handling client communications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a self-starter with ability to deliver under tight timelines
• Comfortable to contribute both as a lead as well as an individual contributor
