Job summary

TCS is seeking a Backup Administrator with Rubrik on AWS to join our enterprise cloud operations in Hyderabad/Pune. The role focuses on deploying, configuring, and administering Rubrik clusters across cloud and on-prem workloads, ensuring backups meet SLAs.

You will monitor jobs, manage retention policies, and coordinate DR readiness, leveraging AWS services like EC2 and S3. This client-facing position requires strong troubleshooting and collaboration with the Enterprise Cloud Service Delivery

Qualifications

• Deploy, configure, and administer Rubrik clusters on AWS, including storage integrations.
• Manage backup SLA policies, retention, archival tiers, and replication across on-prem and cloud.
• Perform day to day monitoring, job analysis, and troubleshooting of failed backup/restore activities.
• Manage Rubrik CDM, Rubrik Security Cloud components, and ensure backups are running as per defined SLAs.
• Administer Rubrik for VMware, physical servers, NAS shares, databases (MSSQL, Oracle, etc.), and cloud-native workloads.
• Manage AWS services related to Rubrik: EC2, S3, IAM roles, security groups, VPC networking, snapshots, and cross region replication.

• Execute backup recoveries, point-in-time restores, and VM instant recovery.

• Deploy, configure, and administer Rubrik clusters hosted on AWS, including Cloud Cluster / RSC configurations and storage integrations.
• Manage backup SLA policies, retention, archival tiers, and replication settings for on prem and cloud workloads.
• Perform day to day monitoring, job analysis, and troubleshooting of failed backup/restore activities.
• Manage Rubrik CDM, Rubrik Security Cloud components, and ensure backups are running as per defined SLAs.

Configure Rubrik Integration With AWS Services Such As

• Rubrik backup to AWS managed vaults

• Optimize storage costs and data lifecycle using S3 storage classes (Standard, IA, Glacier, Deep Archive).
• Support cloud DR strategies using Rubrik + AWS components.
• Execute and validate backup recovery, point in time restores, file level restores, VM instant recovery, and cloud instantiation.
• Design DR workflows for AWS hosted workloads using Rubrik cloud-native backup solutions.
• Ensure business RTO/RPO requirements are met.

Good-to-Have 4 8 years of experience in Backup/Recovery Administration, at least 2 4 years on Rubrik.

• Hands on with Rubrik CDM, RSC, CloudOn, CloudOut, SLA domains, archival tiering.
• Strong AWS skills: EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Security Groups, KMS, CloudWatch, snapshots.
• Experience in backup of VMware, Windows/Linux servers, NAS, and DB workloads.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for backup/restore failures and cloud network issues.
• Ability to perform DR drills and maintain DR readiness.
