Job summary

Zensar Technologies in India is seeking an accomplished SAP Finance (RTR) Architect to lead end-to-end implementation across GL, Asset Accounting, and financial close within SAP FI/CO/S/4HANA Finance. You will drive multi-country templates and ensure US GAAP and EU reporting alignment.

The role requires strong integration experience with SD/MM/PP, Group Reporting, and consolidation tools, with a track record in multi-currency environments and stakeholder leadership across regions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years SAP FI/CO experience with RTR focus.
• Experience delivering RTR for US and EU entities with US GAAP/IFRS.
• Strong GL, Asset Accounting, New GL, multi-currency design experience.
• Experience with S/4HANA Finance, Central Finance, Group Reporting or BPC.
• Experience integrating FI/CO with SD, MM, tax engines and EU e-invoicing.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end RTR solution architecture across SAP FI/CO/S/4HANA Finance.
• Lead blueprint and fit-gap workshops with US/EU finance stakeholders for US GAAP and EU reporting.
• Define FI/CO integration architecture with upstream modules (SD, MM, PP) and reporting/consolidation tools.
• Drive global template design and localization for statutory reporting and tax compliance.
• Review WRICEF specs for finance workstream ensuring auditability and compliance.
• Lead architecture review boards for finance track and maintain design docs.
• Own solution design across blueprint to hyper care for multi-country SAP finance programs.
• Mentor RTR consultants and escalate complex close/reporting issues.
• Collaborate with OTC, SCM, tax teams to ensure integrated financial solution.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end RTR solution architecture — General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Financial Close, Intercompany, and Group/Statutory Reporting — within SAP FI/CO / S/4HANA Finance.
• Lead blueprint and fit-gap workshops with US and EU finance stakeholders, ensuring designs support US GAAP alongside EU statutory/IFRS/local GAAP requirements, multi-currency, and country-specific tax and legal reporting.
• Define the integration architecture between FI/CO and upstream modules (SD, MM, PP) as well as reporting and consolidation tools (SAP Group Reporting, BPC, or equivalent).
• Drive global template design and localization strategy for statutory reporting, tax compliance (e.g., e-invoicing/SAF-T style requirements in EU, 1099/sales tax in the US), and chart of accounts harmonization across regions.
• Review functional specifications and WRICEF objects for the finance workstream, ensuring architectural consistency, auditability, and compliance.
• Lead architecture review boards for the finance track, resolving cross-module design conflicts and maintaining design authority documentation.
• Own solution design across the full project lifecycle — blueprint, realization, testing, cutover, and hyper care — for large multi-country SAP finance transformation programs, including Central Finance and S/4HANA conversions.
• Mentor RTR functional consultants and act as the escalation point for complex financial close and reporting design issues.
• Partner closely with OTC, SCM, and technical architects, as well as controllership and tax teams, to ensure a fully integrated financial solution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 12+ years of SAP FI/CO experience with a focus on Record-to-Report, including at least 3-4 full lifecycle implementations as a solution architect or lead.
• Proven experience delivering RTR solutions for both US and EU legal entities, with working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and EU statutory/local GAAP reporting requirements.
• Strong hands-on expertise in General Ledger, Asset Accounting, New GL, financial close processes, intercompany reconciliation, and multi-currency/multi-ledger design.
• Experience with S/4HANA Finance, Central Finance, and SAP Group Reporting or BPC for consolidation.
• Demonstrated experience integrating FI/CO with SD, MM, tax engines, and statutory/e-invoicing reporting tools relevant to EU jurisdictions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to finance leadership (Controllers, CFO office) across multiple regions.
• Solid understanding of global template design, chart of accounts strategy, and rollout methodology for multinational finance transformations.

Preferred / Good to Have:

• SAP S/4HANA Finance certification.
• Experience with SAP Central Finance for phased S/4HANA migration.
• Exposure to tax/compliance automation tools (Vertex, OneSource, e-invoicing platforms).
• Prior experience in a Big 4 or systems integrator consulting environment delivering to large enterprise clients.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field; CA / CPA / MBA (Finance) is a plus.
