SAIKOR SECURITY TRAINING AND SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED seeks an entry-level Roustabout for on-site work on an oil and gas rig. Tasks include deck cleaning, moving supplies, and assisting with drilling operations, all while strictly following safety protocols.

You will operate lifting gear (cranes and forklifts), perform basic repairs, and support the crew on long shifts, sometimes living on-site. This physically demanding role is essential to daily rig operations.

Responsibilities

• Deck site maintenance including cleaning, painting, organizing, and housekeeping of the rig floor and surrounding areas.
• Material handling: load/unload, transport, and store equipment and supplies using forklifts, cranes, and hand tools.
• Equipment support: prepare equipment for use, assist mechanics and electricians, inspect pipes for leaks, and perform basic maintenance.
• Drilling support: assist senior crew with tasks on the rig floor, mix chemicals, and help with operations.
• Safety emergency: act as a fire watch, respond to spills, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

A roustabout is an entry-level general laborer on an oil and gas rig, responsible for diverse physical tasks like cleaning the deck, moving supplies, maintaining equipment, assisting with drilling operations, operating lifting gear (cranes/forklifts), and basic repairs, all while adhering strictly to safety protocols to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe rig functioning. They are essential to daily operations, performing demanding work in challenging environments, often with long shifts, and may live on-site for weeks at a time.

Key Responsibilities

• Deck Site Maintenance: Cleaning, painting, organizing, and general housekeeping of the rig floor, pipe deck, and surrounding areas.
• Material Handling: Loading, unloading, transporting, and storing equipment, pipes, and supplies using forklifts, cranes, and hand tools.
• Equipment Support: Preparing equipment for use, assisting mechanics and electricians, inspecting pipes for leaks, and performing basic maintenance.
• Drilling Support: Assisting senior crew (roughnecks, derrickmen) with tasks on the rig floor, mixing chemicals, and helping with operations.
• Safety Emergency: Acting as a fire watch, responding to spills, and ensuring all work complies with strict safety regulations.
