You will collaborate with AI/ML, embedded systems, flight control, electronics, and mechanical teams to deliver reliable, scalable drone solutions and production-ready software. Proficiency in ROS 2, C++, Python, and Linux is required.

Role & responsibilities

The ROS Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining robotics software using the Robot Operating System (ROS/ROS 2) for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs/drones). The role focuses on developing modular robotic software, integrating sensors and onboard computing systems, enabling autonomous navigation, and facilitating communication between drone hardware and software components.

The engineer will collaborate with AI/ML, embedded systems, flight control, electronics, mechanical engineering, testing, and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and production-ready drone solutions.

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in ROS 2, C++, and Python.
• Hands-on experience with ROS 2 topics, services, actions, parameters, and lifecycle nodes.
• Experience with MAVLink, MAVROS, or MAVSDK.
• Familiarity with ArduPilot and PX4 flight-control systems.
• Strong knowledge of Ubuntu/Linux development environments.
• Experience with robotics coordinate frames, TF2, URDF, and sensor calibration.
• Experience with Gazebo, RViz, and ROS bag analysis.
• Familiarity with SLAM, path planning, and autonomous navigation algorithms.
• Experience with Git, CMake, Docker, and software debugging tools.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science or related discipline.
• Previous experience with autonomous UAVs, mobile robots, or unmanned systems.
• Experience integrating NVIDIA Jetson companion computers with autopilots.
