Job summary

Delhivery is seeking a mid-level Robotics Validation Engineer to ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of autonomous systems. You will design, execute, and automate robust test suites within ROS2 and an Ubuntu-based stack, validating behaviors in simulation and on physical robots.

You will collaborate with perception, navigation, and control teams to reproduce field bugs, optimize Linux testing environments, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Docker and GitHub Actions.

Qualifications

• Experience designing automated SITL/HITL test suites for robotic systems.
• Strong knowledge of ROS2-based architectures and middleware.
• Hands-on debugging of complex robotic pipelines and telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated SITL/HITL test frameworks for robotic systems.
• Execute functional, performance, and stress tests on robots and simulations.
• Record, parse, and analyze rosbags and telemetry to identify regressions.

Role Overview

We are seeking a mid-level Robotics Validation Engineer to ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of our autonomous systems. You will bridge the gap between software development and real-world deployment by designing, executing, and automating robust test suites. Working deeply within our ROS2 and Ubuntu-based stack, you will validate complex behaviors in both simulation and physical hardware to catch edge cases before they reach production.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Development: Design, implement, and maintain automated Software-in-the-Loop (SITL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) test frameworks for robotic systems.
• System Validation: Execute comprehensive functional, performance, and stress tests on physical robots and in simulated environments.
• ROS2 Debugging: Record, parse, and analyze rosbags and system telemetry to identify regressions, latency issues, or node crashes.
• Collaboration: Work directly with perception, navigation, and control engineers to reproduce complex field bugs and verify fixes.
• Infrastructure: Maintain and optimize Linux/Ubuntu testing environments, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Docker, GitHub Actions), and automated deployment scripts.
