Join to apply for the Robotics System Engineer role at CynLr
As a foundational technology building company in Robotics & AI, CynLr builds visual robots that can intuitively learn to pick & handle even unknown objects without requiring any prior training, just like a human baby fiddling with objects. CynLr calls this stack Object Intelligence (OI). From fitting a screw to removing an object from its plastic wrapper to automating the assembly of a car/gadget, each handling task involves adapting on the fly and learning to apply tooling. With OI's ability to learn on the fly, CynLr’s focus is to universally automate factories and simplify manufacturing into Universal Factories that can be repurposed to produce a wide variety of products. CynLr envisions decentralized micro factories hosted in street-level spaces, enabling personalized products and freeing design from manufacturability constraints.
Design is the foundation of any product / IP. Without someone skilled enough to know how to apply their tools, a design doesn’t evolve. Your primary contribution will be toward CynLr’s design team with all the Robot & Robotic Arm related activities — design, develop and execute experiments for algorithms, kinematics, and solutions that the design team comes up with. You will also engage in simulations, testing, training, and interfacing with robot control systems, UI, and safety practices in the lab, and help design and tailor robot operation nuances, features, and customizations.
This role is shaped to be a strong confluence of practice and theory. As a startup, we balance hands-on experimentation with practical results, focusing on scientifically informed problem solving and actionable outcomes.
CynLr is at its genesis as a startup. This role is foundational and may lead to core technology design and development roles in areas like Gripper Design, Sensor Design, ML Algorithm Design & Dev, Object Training and Task Modeling, Kinematics, Robot Design, Sensor Interface, Verification & Validation, etc. It can evolve toward Robot Integration, Application Support, Solution Engineering, Business Development, and more depending on growth and fit.
From customer-facing perspectives, opportunities may expand into various domains within Industrial Automation and Robot Applications as the organization grows. This role offers a path to build a role of your own and contribute to multiple facets of CynLr’s technology and solutions.
