Job summary

Rex.zone in Goa, India is seeking an experienced robotics software engineer to design, implement, and test production‑grade systems across perception, localization/SLAM, motion planning, and control.

You will validate performance in simulation and on real robots while improving reliability, latency, and safety, with a strong focus on Python, C++, ROS/ROS2, state estimation, and sensor fusion. Collaborative, hands‑on work across hardware and software teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Mid-senior experience building robotics systems in production or advanced prototypes.
• Strong Python and C++ skills for robotics development.
• Hands-on ROS/ROS2 expertise (nodes, topics, services, TF, rosbag).
• Knowledge of state estimation and sensor fusion concepts (EKF/UKF).
• Ability to debug distributed systems using logs, traces, and profilers.
• Understanding of safety considerations, failure modes, and field reliability.

Responsibilities

Compensation

Competitive hourly base pay: $30–$50 per hour (USD), depending on experience.
