Job summary

Yashaswi Group in India is seeking a technician to operate welding robots, program robots for welding tasks, and maintain a clean, safe work area following 5S guidelines. You will monitor the welding process, inspect welds, log data, train new team members, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (DME/DEE).
• Proven welding experience with robotic welding and MIG/MAG processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience programming welding robots on Fanuc, Yaskawa, ABB, etc.
• Experience with robotic welding systems (SKS & Fronius) with Fanuc & Motoman.
• Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
• Working knowledge of welding tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding robots in accordance with safety guidelines and SOPs.
• Program robots to weld parts.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area following 5S principles.
• Perform maintenance and calibration on welding equipment and robots.
• Load/unload parts onto fixtures and ensure proper orientation.
• Monitor welding process and adjust for quality welds.
• Inspect welds for defects and perform rework as needed.
• Record cycle data in logbooks and report findings.
• Coordinate with team to optimize workflow and avoid hazards.
• Assist training of new team members on welding techniques and robot operation.
• Suggest process improvements to reduce scrap and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve welding issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

• Operate welding robots in accordance with company safety guidelines and standard operating procedures
• Programming robots to weld parts
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to 5S principles
• Perform regular maintenance and calibration on welding equipment and robots
• Load and unload parts onto welding fixtures, ensuring proper part orientation
• Monitor robotic welding process and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality welds are produced
• Inspect completed welds for defects and perform rework as necessary
• Record data from each welding cycle in the appropriate logbook
• Communicate with other members of the team to coordinate workflow and avoid potential hazards
• Assist in training new team members on proper welding techniques and robot operation
• Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce scrap
• Work with engineering and quality teams to resolve welding issues
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Preferred candidate profile

• High school diploma or equivalent- DME/DEE
• Proven welding experience with robotic welding & basic understanding of welding process MIG/MAG (SKS & Fronius Power source with Fanuc & Motoman Robot),
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Previous experience programming welding robot(s) on Fanuc, Yaskawa, ABB etc.
• Previous experience with robotic welding systems (SKS & Fronius Power source with Fanuc & Motoman Robot)
• Previous experience with MIG and TIG Welding
