Job summary

ICF Next in New Delhi, India, seeks an experienced RMS/SCADA professional to design, configure, test and support remote-monitoring solutions for renewable energy assets. You will connect field IoT devices and gateways to centralized platforms, ensuring data availability and system performance.

The role involves client-site deployment (Fixed Term 3 years) with field travel as required and collaboration with PMU and utility stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable RMS/SCADA integrations.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science/IT or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of RMS/IoT/remote-monitoring integration experience in solar/utility sectors preferred.
• Strong knowledge of RMS/SCADA design, configuration, testing and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Assist in integrating IoT devices through RMS with centralized cloud platforms for data logging, remote troubleshooting and real-time control.
• Facilitate integration of RMS with State Solar Energy Data Management platforms and national portals.
• Design, configure, integrate and test RMS/SCADA components and interfaces.
• Monitor real-time data availability, device connectivity, latency, alarms and data quality.
• Coordinate with DISCOMs/SIAs, EPC contractors, RMS/SCADA vendors and data teams.

POSITION SUMMARY

The role connects field IoT devices and gateways with centralized platforms, State Solar Energy Data Management systems and national portals, while monitoring data availability, communications and system performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in integrating IoT devices through RMS with centralized cloud platforms for data logging, remote troubleshooting and real-time control where approved.
• Facilitate integration of RMS with State Solar Energy Data Management platforms and national portals.
• Design, configure, integrate and test RMS/SCADA components and interfaces.
• Monitor real-time data availability, device connectivity, communication latency, alarms, events and data quality.
• Coordinate with DISCOMs/SIAs, EPC contractors, RMS/SCADA vendors, meter vendors, communication-service providers and SEDM teams.
• Diagnose and resolve device, protocol, gateway, communication, server and data-integration issues.
• Support interface testing, validation, issue tracking and closure during deployment and upgrades.
• Support system O&M, software upgrades, configuration management and performance optimization.
• Maintain integration documentation, device registers, issue logs and system-performance reports.
• Support secure access, data integrity and coordination with designated IT and cybersecurity teams.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education

B.E./B.Tech. or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science/IT or an equivalent discipline.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in RMS, IoT or remote-monitoring integration, preferably including Solar PV and DISCOM or utility projects.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS AND DELIVERY EXPECTATIONS

• Work closely with Client, internal PMU colleagues and relevant state, utility, financial, vendor or technology stakeholders.
• Maintain role-specific work plans, action trackers, deliverable calendars and supporting records.
• Produce clear, accurate and decision-ready outputs within agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Handle programme, beneficiary, financial, portal and stakeholder information confidentially and follow approved access and information-security requirements.
• Undertake field travel and support urgent programme reviews when required by the assignment.
