Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Risk Reporting, Analytics & Automation Analyst based in Pune to consolidate risk data for stakeholders and regulators. You will create and maintain risk reports across credit, market, operational and liquidity areas, emphasising automation and data-driven insights.

Ideal candidates will be proficient in SQL, Tableau Desktop/Server, Excel and ServiceNow, and will collaborate across functions to deliver scalable dashboards and governance-ready reporting in a fast-paced

Qualifications

  • Experience across reporting, data analytics, automation and business analysis with ability to translate complex data into insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in ServiceNow, Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server, with executive-level dashboards experience.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, including data modelling and visualization.
  • Experience in automation and process optimisation using Python, Power Automate, Power Apps or similar tools.
  • Experience working with sources like SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint Online and risk/workflow systems.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Purpose of the role To gather, analyse, and present risk data in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders across the organisation, facilitating informed decision-making, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.

Accountabilities
  • Development and maintenance of a variety of risk reports, including credit, market, operational, and liquidity risk reports, and regulatory reports.
  • Extraction of risk data from various sources, including internal systems, risk models, and external market data feeds.
  • Analysis of risk data to identify trends, patterns, and outliers, and assess the impact of risk exposures.
  • Monitoring key risk indicators and metrics to identify emerging risks and track the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Development and implementation of risk reporting improvements and automation initiatives.

You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role such as: Experience across reporting, data analytics, automation and business analysis, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders. Strong proficiency in ServiceNow, Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server, with experience designing intuitive, executive-level dashboards and management information. Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data modelling and visualization. Experience in automation and process optimsation, using tools such as Python, Power Automate, Power Apps or similar technologies to streamline reporting and data-driven processes. Strong SQL skills, with experience extracting, transforming, and analysing data from multiple data sources. Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, process analysis and translating business requirements into scalable data and technology solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to identify trends, inconsistencies, data quality issues and opportunities for improvement. Good understanding of data visualization, data literacy and reporting best practices, with a focus on creating clear and actionable management information. Experience working with multiple data sources and platforms, such as SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint Online and Enterprise Risk or Workflow Systems.

Minimum qualification - bachelor’s degree. Desirable Skill Sets: Excellent communication skills. Experience developing Tableau dashboards, management reporting, analytics and automation solutions, preferably within financial services, risk & controls, consulting or Big 4 environments. Experience partnering with senior stakeholders to understand business challenges and independently develop data, reporting or automation solutions. You may be assessed on key essential skills relevant to succeed in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
