Purpose of the Role
To support the Risk Function in delivering its objective of safeguarding the bank's financial and operational stability by proactively identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks across various business units and activities.
Accountabilities
- Development of strategic direction for risk, including the implementation of up-to-date methodologies and processes.
- Management of the risk department, including oversight of risk colleagues and their performance, implementation of risk priorities and objectives, and oversight of department efficiency and effectiveness.
- Relationship management of risk stakeholders, including identifying relevant stakeholders and maintaining the quality of external third‑party services.
- Adherence to the Risk policy, standards and frameworks, and maintaining a robust control environment.

Basic / Essential Qualifications
- Minimum high quality undergraduate degree - 2.1 or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of the use of Wholesale Credit Risk parameters such as PD, LGD, EAD in Capital and Impairment calculations.
- Working knowledge of IFRS9 Accounting Standard, in particular, impairment modelling methodology used for Wholesale Credit Risk portfolios.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Clear and effective communication and ability to deal with stakeholders across all levels.
Desirable skillsets / Good to Have
- Experience in Regulatory Change/transformation projects.
- Previous experience analysing impairment reporting data and credit factor movements.
- Working knowledge of data analysis tools such as Python, SQL, SAS, etc. used to interrogate data.
- Exposure to business analysis, investigating issues and documenting findings.
- Postgraduate degree or professional qualifications such as ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CFA, FRM looked at favourably.

This role will be based out of Noida, India.
