Join us as a Risk and Control Partner - AVP at Barclays.

This role supports the Wholesale Lending Operations Leadership team in managing their internal control framework and adhering to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and the Barclays Control Framework. The role also promotes a strong self-assessment culture and risk ownership among line managers and team members.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Providing stakeholder support through coaching, training, and expertise on risk and control activities.
2. Capturing all operational risk events and near misses in line with policies & standards.
3. Being the principal contact for initiatives impacting the control environment, ensuring risks are identified early and mitigated.
4. Driving control awareness and management capabilities.
5. Supporting the annual RCSA process and controls assurance within Wholesale Lending.
6. Proactively identifying new risks and ensuring issues, breaches, and risk acceptances are managed appropriately.
7. Supporting audit programs and managing governance activities related to risks and issues.
8. Developing control performance metrics and maintaining the controls library.
9. Driving control assurance strategies, identifying weaknesses, and embedding policies for compliance.

• Monitoring regulatory trends and industry developments.
• Developing reports on control performance and participating in improvement initiatives.
• Managing RCSA processes and supporting incident management and controls testing.
