Job summary

Amazon Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Compliance/Program Manager to safeguard our store from bad actors and ensure regulatory alignment. You will lead risk-based assessments, drive remediation, and collaborate across teams to close gaps using data and metrics.

The role emphasizes process design, deep-dive analyses, and effective communication with senior leadership. Candidates should have strong SQL/Excel skills and 5+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 3+ years of L5 Manager Role experience.

Responsibilities

• Innovating and designing new or improved processes to support the business needs.
• Conducting detailed process analysis including time and motion studies, and safety/ergonomic, process complexity, cost and impact analysis.
• Maintain a strong understanding of best in class risk and control principles, and regulatory expectations – embed governance processes to perform recurring gap analysis against those expectations, and drive remediation where necessary.
• Identify and develop appropriate data sources and elements which contribute to risk-based assessments.
• Experience working in or supporting a fast-paced operations environment.
• Perform operational deep dives on compliance-related processes and systems. Understand business processes, regulations and controls, work with partners to identify root cause of issues.
• Take leading role in drafting and presenting deep-dive documents, including responses to senior executives and Correction of Errors (COE) reports.
• Analyze existing policy and process gaps, and develop solutions to close them.

Our mission is to safeguard our store from bad inventory and bad actors concealing their identities. To accomplish this mission, we withhold funds from bad actors, deny our fulfillment network to bad actors as a means to scale their abuse and ensure that counterfeit/illegal inventory is destroyed, prevent Seller credit abuse, identify and disrupt bad actor “spare accounts”, and generate insights to help SPS understand where bad actors are prioritizing their efforts.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 5+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 3+ years of L5 Manager Role experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
• Experience with SQL and Excel
• Experience in written and spoken English and an ability to compose grammatically correct, concise and accurate written responses
• Experience with operations, risk, fraud investigations etc.
• Experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and implement effective solutions
• Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization
• Knowledge of SQL and Excel at a moderate or advanced level
