Millions of Selling Partners trust Amazon's marketplace to grow their businesses, and hundreds of millions of customers depend on us every day. Behind that trust is a network of systems, tools, and workflows designed to detect and resolve fraud and abuse at scale - and our team builds them.

Key job responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end program management for risk reduction initiatives - defining scope, building roadmaps, tracking milestones, managing dependencies, and driving delivery across engineering, science, operations, legal, and policy teams.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Risk Managers, Operations, Science, Legal, and Policy stakeholders to define program scope, prioritize features, and manage trade-offs - with defect elimination and operational efficiency as the primary lens.
  • Identify, design, and implement process automation opportunities that reduce manual investigation effort, eliminate repetitive workflows, and improve investigator productivity - partnering with engineering teams to translate operational pain points into automation solutions.
  • Own root cause / preventive action (RC/PA) for systemic defects - when defect pattern analysis reveals recurring failure modes, document root cause findings, define preventive actions with measurable closure criteria, and track implementation through to validated defect elimination.
  • Build and manage program roadmaps for automation and process improvement launches, tracking dependencies, identifying risks, and driving escalation management across multi-team initiatives.
  • Conduct defect pattern analysis to identify systemic abuse trends, process gaps, and opportunities for automation coverage expansion - translating findings into prioritized program requirements.
  • Lead escalation triage for program-impacted workflows - rapidly diagnosing whether issues stem from process gaps, system failures, or policy misalignment, and routing to the appropriate team with clear severity assessment and remediation path.
  • Define and instrument success metrics to measure program impact, automation coverage, defect escape rates, process cycle time reduction, and seller experience improvement.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives using structured methodologies (DMAIC, Kaizen, or equivalent) mapping current-state workflows, identifying waste and bottlenecks, and implementing scalable solutions.
  • Manage stakeholder communication and program governance - preparing and presenting program updates, launch readiness reviews, and impact assessments to senior leadership, quantifying the value of risk reduction investments.
  • Own change management for new process launches and automation deployments - ensuring smooth adoption across operations teams through documentation, training, and feedback loops.
  • Conduct deep dives into escalation data, process metrics, and system gaps to identify launch blockers and ensure seamless program implementation.
A day in the life

You’ll start your day reviewing program dashboards and defect metrics - checking milestone progress, flagging blockers, and identifying where process automation can reduce manual effort.

You’ll drive sprint planning and stakeholder alignment meetings - prioritizing initiatives by defect elimination impact and operational efficiency gains. You’ll analyze escalation data to spot systemic issues that process automation should solve, and work with operations leaders to validate that deployed solutions are actually reducing investigation workload.

Your week includes cross-functional program reviews with Science, Legal, Operations and Policy, launch readiness assessments, RC/PA deep dives on systemic defects, process mapping workshops for automation opportunities, and presenting program progress at WBRs and MBRs.
