Job summary

HSBC Global Services Limited in Hyderabad seeks a Risk Manager to support Fraud/Disputes Operations with risk-informed analysis and governance. You will help design controls, coordinate remediation, and promote HSBC risk standards across the function.

The role requires a solid background in operational risk, fraud/disputes processes, and strong stakeholder management. Proficiency with HELIOS and Audit management experience are advantageous. This is an on-site opportunity in Hyderabad.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required with 2–5 years in Fraud/Disputes Operations.
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls and risk management.
  • Experience with audit processes desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Helping develop and maintain capability to provide Fraud/Disputes Operations with insightful analysis and prioritization of relevant information to support business risk decisions.
  • Working with the lead for Fraud/Disputes Operations to implement improved end-to-end control design.
  • Ensuring risk and control standards are incorporated into the design of new processes and influencing the design of automated and manual controls along with introducing robust governance within Fraud/Disputes to ensure visibility of issues, actions, and ownership.
  • Supporting the development and execution of a controls testing strategy that is complete, comprehensive and robust, providing material for analysis and oversight by Risk Stewards.
  • Advising stakeholders to ensure new developments/changes have appropriate controls built in from commencement.
  • Reviewing internal and external trigger events; analyzing root causes and partnering with Operations/Technology to implement sustainable remediation.
  • Promoting adherence to HSBC Group standards and contributing to a strong risk and controls culture across Fraud/Disputes Operations.
  • Developing and monitoring risk remediation program activities to ensure delivery progress and “path to green"

In this role, you will:

To be successful, you will:

  • Strong knowledge of operational risk management and relevant risk taxonomies impacting Fraud/Disputes Operations – Essential
  • Bachelors Degree along with 2-5 years in Fraud/ Disputes Operations
  • Strong knowledge of the Audit Management process (audit management experience desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of internal control standards and operational risk best practices, including the ability to assess risk trends.
  • Proficiency with HELIOS.
  • Previous experience in Risk Management and/or audit roles (added advantage).
  • Strong relationship-building, influencing and negotiation with senior management and internal teams.
  • Sound judgement and decision-making that protects HSBC values, reputation and business outcomes.
