Job summary

Inovalon seeks a Risk and Compliance Analyst to support Security, Risk and Compliance across applications, infrastructure, and vendor relations. You will draft documentation, manage multiple tasks, and interface with various teams to capture business needs and produce accurate information for questionnaires.

You will lead control assessments, collaborate with SMEs, and deliver high quality artifacts while maintaining thorough documentation in a fast paced environment.

Overview

The Risk and Compliance Analyst supports Inovalon’s Security, Risk and Compliance department that partners with Technology, business groups, and project teams to perform risk and compliance activities for applications, infrastructure, and vendor / third parties.

Description

A skilled writer, responsible for providing documentation and team support. Manage multiple tasks and dependencies effectively in order to deliver high quality written responses and documentation in a fast paced environment. Interface with Inovalon teams to understand business needs, functionality and operations for developing thorough accurate information to questionnaires.

Responsibilities

• Lead our departments responses to prospective client Request for Proposal (RFP), periodic client inquiries and control assessments, and other third party inquiries
• Assist with capturing and organising policy and procedure related information and data
• Draft documents, manage document review and approval
• Estimate, plan and manage the delivery of the artifacts
• Work with teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of technical information, documentation content, and requirements
• Develop high-quality documentation that is easy-to-understand, easy to use, meets applicable standards, and meets the objectives and goals for the intended audience
• Provide edits to procedural documentation, standards and policies, guides, metrics reports, or any other documents or presentations
• Collaborate with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gain better understanding of subject matter and the documentation requirements
• Manage a high volume of projects and priorities independently
• Demonstrated ability to conduct research, analyze resulting information and document observations required
• Creates compliance documents or project artifacts in standard situations; identifies root causes of risk, security, and/or compliance incidents that arise and directs the resources necessary to resolve them.
• Perform internal risk assessments in conjunction with Inovalon’s HIPAA program

Qualifications

• Articulate communicator, demonstrating mastery of both spoken and written English, with the ability to tailor deliverables appropriately for audiences ranging from technical to senior executive
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work-streams concurrently and successfully.
• Excellent skills using Excel/Word/PowerPoint and flowcharting tools are required.
• Ability to handle complex projects in a multi-tasking environment, meeting deadlines and interacting with individuals at all levels within the organization.
• High degree of adaptability and flexibility
• Self-motivated, detail oriented professional with strong organizational skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Previous experience with Cybersecurity documentation
• Ability to multitask with multiple documents and deadlines

Job Requirements

• Security / Audit-related certifications preferred, such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC;
• 2+ years of experience collaborating in teams and working within the areas of Internal Audit, Technology Governance, Risk Assurance, and/or Internal Controls. Healthcare industry experience is a plus;
• Familiarity with COSO/COBIT internal control framework a plus; and
• An in-depth understanding of core information technology processes and controls, current trends in corporate information technology and emerging themes in the market place.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, and/ or equivalent work experience;
