Job summary

QatarEnergy LNG in India seeks an experienced Rigging and Lifting Supervisor to oversee onshore maintenance activities, ensure safety, and align work with biweekly schedules. The role requires strong English communication and proficiency with MS Office, plus formal rigging qualifications.

Candidates should have at least 7 years of experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical maintenance sector and possess a valid rigging supervisor certificate.

Qualifications

• Secondary school completion with vocational training in engineering or equivalent.
• Rigging supervisor certificate issued by an approved third party.
• Proficiency in English and basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Execute rigging and lifting activities onshore safely and per procedures.
• Track activities to the biweekly schedule and close work orders with accurate data.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure JSA and method statements are available for all activities.
• Prepare permits with all pertinent documents for flawless site execution.
• Assist investigations as SME and implement corrective actions.
• Sign off on Safe Work Practices at site for critical activities.
• Assist in planning external resources as per rigging and lifting demand.

Key Job Accountabilities

• Execute the rigging and lifting activities for onshore facilities are performed safely and in compliance with Company procedures.
• Ensure the rigging and lifting activities are tracked and aligned to the biweekly schedule.
• Ensure work orders and operations are closed with maximum inputs and correct data.
• Execute rigging and lifting activities during normal Operations and in Shutdown, for quality and safety of execution.
• Conduct effective Toolbox Talks are ensure Job Safety Analysis (JSA) & Method statements are available for all activities.
• Ensure the permits are prepared with all pertaining documents for flawless execution at site.
• Assist in conducting investigations as subject matter expert and help to implement all recommended corrective actions.
• Check and sign Safe Work Practices (SWPs) at site for critical activities.
• Assist in Senior Supervisor in planning for external resources as per rigging and lifting demand.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary school (12 years) followed by vocational training program /trade certificate in Engineering.
• Rigging supervisor certificate issued by approved third party agency.

Knowledge and/or Experience

• 7 years' experience in the Oil & Gas industry or petrochemical industry in maintenance.
• Knowledge in lifting procedures and practices.

Technical and Business Skills

• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Computer literacy (MS Office).
• Capable to conduct TBT & Hazard Identifications
