Job summary

Padink Engineering Services in Chennai is seeking a seasoned Electrical Design Engineer to develop electrical designs for manufacturing power distribution and lighting systems.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers and contractors on complex construction projects, review specifications, and produce REVIT and AutoCAD drawings for MV/LV distribution including MCCs, generators and UPS, while supporting project closeout and document control.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics engineering or diploma in the same field.
• Experience with electrical design for manufacturing environments preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret design drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with multi-discipline project coordination.

Job Description

• Develop electrical designs for manufacturing power distribution and lighting systems.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and contractors on new construction/renovation projects.
• Review electrical design specifications and drawings.
• Designing low & medium-voltage electrical distribution systems. To include MCC's, generators, transformers, low voltage substations, UPS.
• Review cost estimates and budgets.
• Work on multiple projects.
• Read and interpret design drawings and specifications.
• Design of Electrical Power layouts, Lighting layouts, wiring diagrams, cable trays and Electrical location layouts in REVIT.
• Experience with Mechanical, Electrical and Process (MEP) engineers and technicians.
• Experience with multi-discipline large capital projects involving Owners, General Contractors, Contractors, and System Integrators.
• Good Understanding of Design/Build (Engineering and Construction).
• Familiar with facilities document control systems.
• Experience with electrical as-built drawings that are incorporated into master CAD drawings.
• Experience reviewing and updating electrical system models.
• Experience with project closeout: reviewing construction specifications, as-builts, O&M manuals, and submittals.
• Experience using Revit and AutoCAD software to create design drawings and 3D models.
• Proficient with written and verbal technical communication including generating reports and conducting group presentations

4+ years experience in areas such as low and medium voltage power, easy power, load flow analysis, and electrical engineering drawings in a manufacturing environment.
