Job summary

FNZ Group is seeking a Revenue Accountant to support the integrity and transparency of the Revenue recognition lifecycle. You will work at the intersection of Finance, Product and Commercial Teams and translate complex accounting outcomes into actionable insights for Finance, Audit and business audiences.

You will lead revenue modelling, ensure robust governance, and support month-end close with detailed analysis of Revenue, WIP and related contract assets across diverse client portfolios,

Qualifications

• Fully Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA or acceptable professional accounting qualification
• 4-5 years post qualification experience in a finance controllership or Revenue Accounting position
• Financial services industry experience (asset management, wealth platforms, banking), with a preference for PE-backed or high growth environments
• Strong background in financial analysis and financial modelling
• Good understanding of IFRS 15 principles, including application for Revenue and Contract (WIP) Accounting
• Advanced Excel proficiency with the ability to interrogate/analyse large data sets and translate into outcomes for Revenue, EBITDA, Cash and WIP
• Desirable: platform-as-a-service fintech or wealth management technology experience
• Experience establishing processes for the first time (greenfield)
• Big 4 external or internal audit background
• Experience working across multiple jurisdictions

Responsibilities

• Support the quarterly update of the revenue recognition models for FNZ UK clients, with scope to expand to North America and APAC

Role Description

We are seeking a Revenue Accountant to support the integrity, transparency and insightfulness of Revenue recognition life cycle processes. The role sits at the intersection of Finance, Product and Commercial Teams and is well suited to a technically literate and highly analytical finance controller with proven experience across Revenue Accounting, Financial Reporting, data analysis and modelling.

The candidate will be expected to translate complex accounting outcomes into meaningful insights for Finance, Audit and Business audiences, demonstrating a holistic understanding of commercial drivers and their impact on Revenue performance, Profitability, Balance Sheet and overall implications for strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Recognition and Modelling

• Support the quarterly update of the revenue recognition models for FNZ UK clients, with scope to expand support to complex Revenue Models in North America and APAC regions
• Source, analyse and document key inputs and assumptions required to update all Revenue Models
• Analyse Model outputs to ensure that these are robust, well-governed, decision and audit-ready
• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, completeness of Revenue recognition processes

Product Control and Financial Integrity

• Support the month-end close process by providing robust analytical review, insights and commentary on drivers of Revenue and Contract Assets (WIP) positions across the client portfolio
• Perform detailed analytical review of WIP balances to understand movements and trends, ensuring that these are fully substantiated and supported by relevant insights and commentary.

Commercial Finance and FP&A Support

• Produce and deliver ad-hoc analysis and insights to support commercial decision-making and pricing strategy across existing and new client contracts
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and scenario modelling to support FP&A requirements as part of the Strategic Planning and Budgeting refresh cycles

Governance, Controls & Audit

• Strengthen the control framework by improving documentation, governance, and control processes
• Ensure alignment with wider Finance standards and control expectations
• Support external audit and internal review and readiness activities across the Revenue Recognition lifecycle.

Process Improvement & Reporting

• Contribute to continuous improvement in management information, reporting transparency, and analytical capability
• Identify opportunities for automation and simplification within the Revenue Recognition process flows
• Contribute to the evolution of scalable, highquality financial insight as the business grows

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualifications:

• Advanced Excel proficiency with the ability to interrogate/analyse large data sets, understand trends and how these translate into financial outcomes for Revenue, EBITDA, Cash and WIP
