Job summary

Premium Aerotec GmbH seeks an experienced SB Designer to support Retrofit Solutions by delivering Service Bulletins and SB embodiments for aircraft airworthiness.

You will analyze design definitions, collect source documents, and coordinate data across Eng, Materials and Tech Data teams to ensure on-time, compliant SB execution.

Qualifications

• B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering.
• Experience: 8 to 10 years as Service Bulletin Designer for Aerospace projects.
• Airbus certified Proofreader for Service Bulletin-Production Release is highly preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of airframe structures or Cabin layout configurations.
• Expert ability to interpret complex 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Proficient in ATA iSpec 2200 and S1000D specifications, with strong STE knowledge.
• Experience with Airbus Toolset: SAMM-DACAS, Arbortext Editor, CIRCE, GIDOCA, GILDA; APS, VPM, PASS SSCI; DMU tools.

Responsibilities

• Interpret design definitions and installation principles for airframe structures or cabin modifications.
• Collect and synthesize source documents like TRS/MAS, design drawings, SB prep files.
• Evaluate Pre-MOD vs Post-MOD solutions and define SB configuration for MSN(s).
• Develop LOC and identify Long Lead Items and wiring bundles.
• Coordinate data like Weight & Balance, Electrical Load Data, SB test impacts.
• Authour Service Bulletins in SAMM-DACAS with detailed tasks.
• Review 3D source files to create mock-ups and technical illustrations.
• Proofread SBs to ensure Airbus standards compliance.
• Review supplier SBs for quality and safety adherence.
• Support SB validation embodiment on aircraft and interface with Eng/Materials.

Job Summary

The Retrofit Solutions organization, operating within Customer Services Engineering & Maintenance, is tasked with providing and supporting valuable Retrofit Solutions packages. Prioritize safety and airworthiness compliance to deliver high-quality Service Bulletins (SBs) to customers on time. Provide timely responses to customer queries and support the Service Bulletin (SB) embodiment process.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze the design definitions and installation principles related to Airframe Structures or Cabin modifications
• Collect and synthesize source documents, including TRS/MAS, Design Drawings, SB preparation files, and 3D Design datasets
• Perform Technical analysis:
  • Evaluate Pre-MOD vs. Post-MOD solutions
  • Define SB Configuration for the given MSN(s) applicable
  • Determine aircraft access requirements
  • Calculate man-hour estimates for SB embodiment
• Develop the List of Components (LOC), identifying Long Lead Items (LLI), wiring bundles and placard set(s)
• Coordinate the procurement of essential data, including Weight & Balance, Electrical Load Data, SB Test and impacts on Operational & Maintenance manuals
• Author Service Bulletins within SAMM-DACAS, defining accomplishment tasks and detailed installation/removal procedures
• Analyze 3D source files to develop mock-ups and generate technical illustrations using Tec-Draw tool
• Proofread Service Bulletins from internal production centers to ensure full compliance with Airbus standards
• Review and approve supplier-generated Service Bulletins to verify adherence to Airbus quality and safety standards
• Answer to customer queries through Tech-Request
• Provide on-site assistance to SB validation/embodiment on in-service or production aircraft
• Maintain seamless interfaces with Engineering, Material Supply and Tech Data departments throughout the SB lifecycle.

Qualifications & Skills

B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering

Experience: 8 to 10 years as Service Bulletin Designer for Aerospace projects

• Airbus certified Proofreader for Service Bulletin-Production Release is highly preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of airframe structures or Cabin layout configurations
• Expert ability to interpret complex 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
• Proficient in ATA iSpec 2200 and S1000D specifications, with a firm command of Simplified Technical English (STE)
• Working experience on Airbus Toolset:
  • Authoring: SAMM-DACAS, Arbortext Editor, CIRCE, GIDOCA and GILDA
  • Configuration & Lifecycle: APS, VPM and PASS SSCI
  • Digital Mock-Up (DMU): 3d-jummp and novodesk
• Knowledge of aircraft configuration management and product structure
• Proven project management capabilities, ensuring delivery timelines and quality standards are met
• Skilled in mechanical SB illustration tools; knowledgeable in AMM (Aircraft Maintenance Manual) and IPC (Illustrated Parts Catalog) authoring is an advantage
• Highly proactive with strong organizational and assertive communication skills
• Experienced team player capable of interfacing with cross-functional engineering and production departments
• Full professional proficiency in English.
