Job summary

You will coordinate investigations, supervise nursing staff during drug administration, and ensure meticulous record-keeping for all procedures. The position involves attending procedures and adhering to duty hours in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• MBBS degree is mandatory.
• 0-5 years experience in clinical settings, preferably in emergency care.
• Location in Bengaluru, at HCG Hospital.
• Experience in handling emergency cases and documenting patient data.

Responsibilities

• Fill all relevant files and keep records up to date.
• Arrange investigations serially and ensure timely review.
• Compile weekly reviews of patient files and outcomes.
• Document important bio-markers and present data graphically when possible.
• Ensure correct drug administration by nursing staff and monitor I/O charts.
• Maintain intra-operative and postoperative notes where applicable.
• Record any complications and monitor chemotherapy IV sites and timings.
• Attend all medical procedures like catheterization and intubation as required.
• Ensure duty hours are followed strictly and participate in weekly meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• All Files should be filled.
• All investigations should be arranged serially.
• Once a week, all files will be scrutinized.
• All the important BIO MARKERS should be written date-wise in a separate sheet. If possible, they should be presented graphically.
• If radiation is over, the radiation summary sheet should be there.
• See that drugs are given properly by the sisters.
• See those intake/output charts that should be filled.
• All surgical notes must be there:
• Intra-operative Notes
• Preoperative investigations
• Post-op biopsy report
• Mention any complication
• If chemotherapy is going on, please inspect the IV site and administration timings
• If a patient is allergic to any drug, please mention it in BOLD at the front.
• Any consultant in the round should be accompanied by the Duty Doctor.
• All patients should be attended to on call at any point in time.
• All the dressings in the surgical ward, mainly or any other ward, should be done by Doctors/Sisters.
• All Doctors should follow duty hours very strictly.
• In the weekly meeting, all details will be discussed.
• During any blood transfusion, the doctor should verify all records and start on their own.
• Must attend all medical procedures like catheterization of the patient intubation, etc.
