Job summary

Surbana Jurong is seeking a Resident Engineer - Quality (QA/QC) for the HEO 240 MW Hydro Electric Project in Arunachal Pradesh. The role focuses on enforcing the Project Quality Plan, ITPs and standards across civil, tunneling and structural works.

You will oversee material and lab testing, conduct site inspections of deep excavation, rock bolting, shotcreting and heavy concreting, manage NCRs and CAPA, maintain test records and audit documentation, and coordinate with client and contractor

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering is required.
• Around 8 years of QA/QC experience on civil/structural works.
• Experience with ITPs, quality plans and audits.

Responsibilities

• Quality Enforcement: implement the Project Quality Plan and standards across civil, tunneling and structural works.
• Material & Lab Testing: oversee testing of cement, steel, aggregates and concrete for compliance.
• Site Inspections: monitor deep excavation, rock bolting, shotcreting and heavy concreting.
• NCR Management: issue NCRs and track CAPA actions.
• Documentation: maintain quality records, test registers and audit docs.
• Coordination: work with client and contractor teams for sign-offs and issue resolution.

• Material & Lab Testing: Oversee testing of construction materials (cement, steel, aggregates, concrete) for compliance.

• Site Inspections: Monitor critical activities like deep excavation, rock bolting, shotcreting, and heavy concreting.

• NCR Management: Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for quality lapses and track corrective actions (CAPA).

• Documentation: Maintain rigorous quality records, test registers, pour cards, and audit documentation.

• Coordination: Work with client and contractor teams to secure quality sign-offs and resolve site discrepancies.
