Job summary

Oriental Consultants India Pvt. Ltd. invites applications for the Project Management Consultancy Services for the construction of a double-line electrified railway track with signaling and telecom systems in Navi Mumbai.

The role is for a Resident Engineer (Non-Traction E&M) on a 12-month engagement. The candidate should have a BE/BTech in relevant engineering streams and at least 15 years of overall experience in electrical works on railway projects, with 8 years in a similar RE role.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering / Telecom Engineering / Communication Engineering / Electrical Engineering.
• Total experience of at least 15 years in materials inspection/approval/execution/supervision/PMC for Electrical works on IR/Metro and/or other railway projects.
• 8 years of relevant experience towards RE or equivalent positions.

Responsibilities

• Overall project management of Electrical and E&M works.
• Discharge responsibility ofEngineer according to FIDIC guidelines.
• Coordination with other disciplines for interface issues; stakeholder coordination; routine field supervision.
• Witnessing of test checks on materials, work and equipment, sub-systems, systems as necessary; witnessing type tests/FAT.
• Prepare periodical reports and assist in O&M manuals; daily, weekly & monthly progress reporting; bill certification.
• Carrying out any other related task to meet objectives of the PMC assignment.

The Candidate Shall have minimum 15 years’ of total experience in materials inspection/ approval/ execution/ supervision/ PMC for Electrical works on IR/Metro and / or other railway projects.

8 years of relevant experience towards RE or equivalent positions.

Preferred Age

Below 60 years.

Functional Role

Task to be carried out by RE (Non-Traction E&M) shall include but not limited overall project management of Electrical and E&M works; discharge responsibility of “Engineer” according to FIDIC guidelines; coordination with other disciplines in respect of interface issues; coordination with stakeholders; routine field supervision; witnessing of test check on materials, work and equipment, sub-systems, systems as necessary; witnessing of type test/factory acceptance test of equipment; participation in final testing and commissioning, review and approval of as built drawings prepared by Contractor; preparing periodical reports and support in preparation of O&M Manuals; daily, weekly & monthly progress report; measurement of works & bill certification; carrying out any other related task for meeting objectives of the PMC Assignment.
