Oriconsul India seeks a seasoned Resident Engineer (Non‑Traction E&M) for a 12-month PMC assignment on a major Western Dedicated Freight Corridor project. The role oversees electrical and E&M works, coordinates with interfaces and stakeholders, and reports to CRE/Dy CRE and OC India HO.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical and E&M works as Resident Engineer (Non‑Traction).
• Discharge Engineer responsibilities under FIDIC; coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders.
• Supervise field activities; witness tests, review as‑built drawings; prepare reports and assist in O&M manuals.
• Daily, weekly and monthly progress reporting; monitor measurement of works and bill certification.
• Carry out related tasks to meet PMC objectives and ensure interface alignment with CRE/Dy CRE & OC India HO.

Job description

Project Name: Project Management Consultancy Services (PMC) for Construction of Double line electrified Railway Track with signalling and telecommunication system and related infrastructure for the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor Project.

Functional Area: Resident Engineer (Non-Traction E & M)

Duration:12 months

Qualification: Minimum B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering / Telecom Engineering / Communication Engineering / Electrical Engineering.

Overall Professional Experience: The Candidate Shall have minimum 15 years' of total experience in materials inspection/ approval/ execution/ supervision/ PMC for Electrical works on IR/Metro and / or other railway projects.

Experience in similar position: 8 years of relevant experience towards RE or equivalent positions.

Preferred Age: Below 60 years.

Functional Role: Task to be carried out by RE ( Non-Traction E&M ) shall include but not limited Overall Project Management of Electrical and E&M works; Discharge responsibility of "Engineer" according to FIDIC guidelines; Coordination with other disciplines in respect of interface issues; Coordination with stake holders; Routine field supervision; Witnessing of test check on materials, work and equipment, sub-systems, systems as necessary; Witnessing of type test/factory acceptance test of equipment; Participation in final testing and commissioning, review and approval of as build drawings prepared by Contractor; Preparing periodical reports and support in preparation of O&M Manuals; Daily, weekly & monthly progress report; Measurement of works & bill certification; Carrying out any other related task for meeting objectives of the PMC Assignment.
