Ticketing & Reservation Implementation and Migration Summary of the Role
The Ticketing Implementation (TKT) Team is responsible for the configuration, implementation, and delivery of Amadeus ticketing solutions for airline customers. Operating within the broader Ticketing Business Domain, the team ensures seamless deployment of the Amadeus Ticket Server and associated ticket‑related products, such as Asset Manager, Time‑To‑Think (TTT), and other standalone modules that support airline servicing and fulfilment needs.
The TKT platform enables airlines to manage the full lifecycle of ticket issuance, storage, modification, and refund processes efficiently and reliably. Through robust configuration capabilities and high‑performance transaction handling, it helps carriers optimize their fulfilment operations, reduce servicing complexity, and ensure compliance across indirect and direct retailing channels.
In addition to product implementation, the TKT team plays a critical role in PSS migration programs, taking ownership of the data migration of tickets and EMDs from legacy systems to Amadeus platforms. This includes conducting detailed data analysis and mapping exercises to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance throughout the transition.
By combining technical expertise, project management excellence, and deep product knowledge, the TKT team plays a key role in enabling airlines to operate stable, scalable, and efficient ticketing processes across the Amadeus ecosystem.
The Implementation Engineer is responsible for end‑to‑end delivery of the solutions to the airline, organising and planning the implementation schedule, monitoring implementation timelines, coordinating deliveries with R&D development teams, ensuring migration plans are completed, supporting airline customers during the whole implementation on all aspects (functionally, testing, etc.).
The candidate will be responsible for a significant customer‑facing role requiring organization and the ability to work hands‑on at all levels within airline customers’ business and within Amadeus solutions.
The successful candidate will gain large functional expertise on the Order Implementation portfolio, ticketing, reservation, disruption, and will have the opportunity to grow on project management aspects. She/he will be the Amadeus entry point for a set of airline customers and will coordinate and support the activities necessary to implement merchandizing products.
Analyse customer requirements, configure products and manage implementation on test and production environment.
Solution support: Based on airline requirement guide them on configurations.
Functional support: first‑level support, troubleshooting & consulting for product implementation and filing support.
Service/consultancy activities: Analyse customer service requirement, assess customer product usage and define tailored service proposal, and deliver to the customer.
Project management: Projects planning, follow‑up and support activities during the implementation. Coordinate the project with the customer, organise workshops, regular status meetings, follow actions and risks.
Establish joint baseline plan with the airline and follow tracking of activities.
Coordinate internally with R&D, product development teams for the activities and features to deliver.
Help define an optimized end‑to‑end solution covering Ticket Server, TKT standalone products (Asset Manager, TTT, RTTF, etc.) and their integration within the customer ecosystem.
Identify and coordinate all technical and functional actions required to integrate Amadeus ticketing products and services under TKT team responsibility.
Configure, implement, and validate Ticketing functionalities and related modules in alignment with customer use cases and operational flow.
Provide functional support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution to internal teams and customer functional staff throughout the project lifecycle.
Deliver consultancy services to assess business processes, evaluate product usage, recommend optimisations, and propose tailored service options.
Support ticketing and EMD data migration activities during PSS migrations, including data analysis, mapping, and validation of migrated records.
Define the overall migration strategy for a customer. Handle the migration activities, rehearsals, and cutover with the airline. Responsible for the set‑up of the product in test and production.
Support project activities during the implementation in the area of expertise (incl. system/data set‑up, support to test phases and migration). Support UAT and BPT testing from the airline.
Lead Implementation projects as well as Services projects. Define the overall planning of activities and track progress through the applicable project governance.
Liaise with all Amadeus involved teams: ADP, DEV, PDef, PM, Pre‑Sales.
Prioritise the tasks.
Participate to the creation and improvement of implementation processes.
Lead knowledge transfer and industrialisation of new Amadeus solutions.
Participate to the creation and delivery of new Services around Products Portfolio under team activities.

Strong customer‑facing skills, with the ability to communicate complex ticketing concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Solid understanding of the airline IT landscape, especially in the areas of reservation, ticketing, and document lifecycle management.
Knowledge of ticket issuance, exchange/refund processes.
Ability to analyze and interpret data, including during migration or mapping activities in PSS transition projects.
Good project‑management, change‑management, and tracking skills to coordinate cross‑functional tasks and follow through to delivery.
Capacity to troubleshoot functional issues, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions in collaboration with R&D and product teams.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multi‑team, multi‑stakeholder environment while maintaining ownership of functional deliverables.
Ad‑hoc to support Rehearsal/Cutover during PSS Program, or to deliver consultancy services.
Engineer degree or university degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience (IT).
Airlines reservation, ticketing IT solutions, ancillaries, fares and offers, Altea Reservation system (added advantage).
